A:  It wasn't hard to put together but it didn't last long. Paint/Stain faded and chipped and bench cracked.

            Paint peels, wood warps
Photo says it all. A few months after being set outside, the back of one bench and the seat of the other are peeled and warped. Thought I was getting a good value at the time but obviously not.

I was apprehensive about ordering this bench given the reviews across this brand. Target sells the same one and had a few 2 stars. The first thing I'll share is that while the color is mostly grey, there is a bit of a greenish hue to it. From a distance it's fine, but at first I was not loving it. The instructions are just a series of pictures with a snapshot of the different screws that come in the box with the allen wrench. There are 2 small ones used on the sides and much longer ones used in the legs and arms. After getting the 2nd small one in, it was obvious that the screw was not long enough, as it was not "grabbing" the wood at all. I tried adding Loctite (learned about that from another project) and that didn't do anything. Frustrated, and mentally preparing to have to return the whole bench, I called Home Depot customer service (homedepot.com) and the agent said she'd credit me immediately for 10% so that I could attempt to get different screws, and for the hassle of the situation. Fortunately I am close to a Home Depot store, so I went and came home with a bag of (2) 2" and (2) 2.25" flat head wood screws. WAY better. To the point I actually took out the other short one that came with the bench. Save yourself a headache and possible structural fail and use these longer ones. I am in awe the short ones that come with the bench actually work...I would not want anyone over 150lbs sitting on the bench with those in there. One I got the other screws in, I could see that there was still a bit of a gap from the 2" wood screw I used. I carefully made sure a 2.25" one would work (without poking out the side of the leg) and ended up using that one instead. It securely "grabbed" and fit great, making the frame much more sturdy. Phew. This is a bench that is admittedly a bit more of a decorative piece for my garden, but I'm 5'11 and 150lbs and carefully sat in it once outside. Solid- I didn't fall to the ground. Yay! :) I do hope that the acacia wood holds up to the elements of the Pacific Northwest, so time will tell. Bottom line; if you're looking to get this bench, save yourself some aggravation and get the (2) bags of flat head wood screws...only about $3 total. Well worth the peace of mind until someone at Home Depot can have a word with the vendor about quality improvements in their hardware. PS: Thank you to the Customer Service rep who kindly encouraged me to try different screws, credited me immediately, while still reassuring me if those didn't help, I could return the bench. That's proactive service, which definitely does not happen all the time.

The bench pieces did not fit together very well, some of them did not flash or aligned. I had to drill additional holes and use additional screws to be able the assembly of the bench. Overall, the material is of a very low quality.

I bought this Vifah Renaissance 5ft patio bench it's a nice looking bench but not comfortable I asked home deport what size would it be for a bench cushion for this bench .They gave me the size but I tried to buy one but they don t sell the cushion at there store for this bench I tried to shop around but apparently it's difficult to find the right size for this bench if home deport sells this bench they should carry the cushion for it as well As a option. I'm sorry I bought this uncomfortable bench now & I can't even find the right size cushion oh & by the way bench cushions are expensive !!!! There's like around the same price as the bench !!!! Ugh

The first day of the box the gray paint was so thin that it scraped off with merely a gentle fingernail touch. Very cheap finish, one month into use it already looks old, needs new paint to protect it from the elements. I thought the high price would make this a higher quality product. Disappointed.
