Small, but works well
The WEN 2 ¼” Pocket Marking T-Ruller seems to be milled from a solid block of aluminum. The finish is good, the white markings on the blade are clean, crisp and form a high contrast, easy to read rule on both sides. The markings are etched into the metal making the tools very durable and long lasting. The blade is graduated in1/16” markings with each 1/8” shown. The blade is only 2 ¼” long, making the tool usable for the most detailed of work on smaller stock. Oddly, the blade is 1 9/16” wide. Most of what I work with is an even quarter inch, so to me, the blade’s width is out of sync. I would have preferred the blade to be 1 ½” wide. But, because the tool is only 2 ¼” long, it does not mean that it will not layout larger pieces – most of my mortices are less than ½” wide and less than 1” deep. Most of my tenons match the mortices, so this tool is perfect. The shoulder of the T-Ruler is slightly more than 2 ¼” long and slightly more than ¼” deep. Again, I am not sure I understand why WEN did not make the design in even ¼” increments. In the center of the blade are a series of slightly offset scribing holes. These scribing holes are offset from each other by 1/32” and may be used, along with up to a 0.9 mm mechanical pencil, to scribe parallel lines on a work piece. These scribing holes are the heart of the tool. I use 0.9 mm lead because it makes a solid dark line on the wood and the lead lasts a good while. I find that smaller diameter lead tends to catch and break while scribing a line – especially on oak or other porous type wood. Mostly, I use this tool for setting up mortice & tenon joints. For this, the Pocket Marking T-Ruler works well. It is small, lightweight, and can be held to an accurate 1/32” inch. Even though the actual dimensions of the tool are slightly larger than ¼” increments, I do not seem to have any concerns with using the tool.

Handy pocket measuring device with specific uses
The Wen Picket Marjer us a very precise instrument that can be used to mark or measure. It is very accurate at drawung a parallel line ti any straught edge by sellecting the dustance in the scale and placing a pencil in the hole and sliding the instrument along the edge. The hokes are 1/32 in size so it usbrequured ti use a mechanical pencil with the lead extended. It can also be used to mark the position of a drillung sught frim the edge if a work piece.

Handy little high quality tool.
I received this product about a week after ordering it. The Wen Pocket Marking T-ruler is a very high quality tool made from aluminum. When I ordered it I was under the impression it was a high impact plastic, so once I received it I was pleasantly pleased. On top of the high quality materials, it was packaged extremely well. The tool is very compact in size, but very handy in use. I used it to mark out a series of parallel lines on a door I was building. The lines were for guiding my placement of window frame pieces. I also used it to layout locations of dowel pins for locking the mortise and tenons on the stiles and rails of the door. In the end, I think this little tool would be handy in anybody's tool chest.

WEN 2-1/4 in. Pocket Marking T-Ruler - BUY IT
Having had a couple of WEN products, I was expecting a great tool...and I got one. What can you say, its a marking tool, but it's perfect for layout lines. You find your mark, put your pencil tip in the proper hole, and slide it along the edge. The markings are every 16th of an inch with labels every 8th of an inch (i.e., 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, etc.). I checked the markings with multiple rulers, and they are dead-on. The 2 1/4-inch T-Ruler is perfect for what I need it for and has already become one of the first things I grab for when I need to make straight lines parallel to an edge. It is small and can be easily carried in a pocket or tool bag.

Accuracy The Way You Want To Mark It
If you need to mark and layout lines with accuracy with a square this works great. Mark the lines how you want, do you want to make your cut on the line to the left or the right. How large of a gap between your pieces do you want? I used it to layout and cut an end filler board on a cabinet. My measurements were not great for the approximately three-fourths inch I needed to trim off. My solution was to draw several lines with close spacing (I cut more than once) and cut / fit until my filler fit perfectly. The holes in the square allowed my mechanical pencil to work great. The tool is accurate beyond my skills. A skilled wood worker could use this to mark out lines up to 1/32 of an inch. This pocket marking T ruler is an asset to my toolbox and will help me bring the quality and speed of my projects, it will stay with my toolbox measurement tools.
