We live in South Florida where it is very hot and humid about 12 months a year. We use our golf cart for transportation and carrying groceries and laundry, collecting the mail, etc. To combat the heat I am installing a multi-speed dual electric fan in the golf cart. The heart of the system is a 12Ah battery and this little gem - the Wagan Pureline 400W Inverter. I chose this inverter because of it's small size which was critical for my application, capacity, and the fact that it produces a pure sign-wave which is far better for powering electrical devices. I will follow up with a picture of the actual installation in the cart but some parts of the system just arrived and I want to bench test it before mounting it in it's final configuration.

The Pureline 400-watt power inverter [etl] is a very good inverter. It will convert a battery from dc current to ac current. It will be very handy when I want to do this. Yes it meets my expectations. It is a very good brand. I have had it about 10 days now. Anyone who buys this will be very well satisfied with it. The products that I get from Home Depot are very well made.

I travel quite a bit in my motohome, which is equipped with a generator to produce 120 V Ac. However, the generator is pretty noisy and installed in a compartment under the bedroom. For me, sleeping and having the generator run is not possible, which means, when sleeping, the only electricity I have is 12 volt DC from the house batteries. But there I a problem, I have sleep apnea and need to use a C pap machine when sleeping, and this machine operates on 120 V AC.
This is where this power inverter comes into play. I can plug it into one of the 12 V Dc outlets and create the required 120 V Ac to operate my C pap machine without any problem. The inverter is very reliable (which is very important for me), and works like a charm. it is small enough that I can have it sitting on my night stand.
I would not know what to do without it!

Can’t go wrong with pure sine wave inverters
Description:
This is a 400-Watt Pure Sine inverter. It is compact in size, measuring only 9 in. long x 4.25 in. wide x 2.5 in. high.
The PureLine unit is rated to 800 watt surge power.
It has two 110-Volt to 120-Volt receptacles, plus one USB power port (5-Volt, 2.1 Amp)
The DC input range accepts 11-Volt to 15-Volt.
It has ground fault protected outlets, overheating protection: cooling fan with automatic shutdown (load/temperature controlled), as well as internal fuses for short circuit and reverse polarity protection.
Color-coded red and black cables are included.
Its base has notches to allow attaching it in place with screws.
All contact information is on the package and in the manual, and it comes with a two year warranty.
Usage:
It was very simple to connect the cables. They came with alligator clips on one end, and wire ring terminals on the other. The terminal ends go onto the provided posts on the inverter, and the other goes to the battery. (There is a provided ground post, but no cable for that.)
I was then able to plug in anything I wanted within the specs allowed. So I tried a blender, and it worked flawlessly. There was no lag at startup, regardless of speed selection, and the power was strong.
Next I tried it with my desktop computer along with my large monitor, external hard drive, the DVR, and speakers. It worked fine. I’m impressed.
The inverter stayed cool in operation and at first I did not see the fan come on under load indoors. After over 15 minutes of load, the fan did come on, but was reasonably quiet. I have a feeling that it can take much more load than I expected.
This is a good device.
Overall Thoughts:
If you need an inverter, this one will do the job.

I got this true sine wave inverter to charge my cordless tools in the field. I was a bit leery of actually using it the first time. In the past I have tried to use modified sine wave inverters and have instantly burned out the tool charger. The modern chargers that don't have a transformer absolutely cannot use a square wave. I plugged my Milwaukee M18 charger into the inverter and it proceeded to charge the battery without a hitch. This is a really big deal to me. If I am out at a job site and have a battery go flat I now have a way to charge it. Another nice feature of this inverter is that the cooling fan only runs when it gets hot. All of my other inverters the fan runs continuously and can be very annoying.

The PureLine 400-Watt Power Inverter allows me to run all of my electrical devices when camping or boating by converting the 12 Volt DC from my truck or boat battery over to a usable 110 Volt – 120 Volt AC current with an available 400 Watts of power. When my family camps out on the lake or at the hunting lease we can enjoy conveniences like an electric can opener, coffee pot, and hot water dispenser. We can safely operate or charge our radios or phones using the USB connection on the converter. I even use it to run my personal shaver and hair trimmer. I’ve been very pleased with the service provided by this very compact and highly efficient power inverter.
