This WELLER UNIVERSAL SOLDERING ACCESSORY KIT comes with the tip tinner, rosin flux paste, brass wire, cleaner and holder and a flux brush. To me this is not a complete kit. I think it’s missing a gun. Not sure. This seems like a good beginner kit. If you are needing to solder small irons or some electronic projects then this is a good piece to add to your project.

I have in my lifetime soldered plumbing pipe joints and also electrical circuit boards with various degrees of success. So adding this accessory kit made it much better tinning success.
The kit comes with flux paste canister and also a smaller tip tinner. I found that the flux paste canister was a bit difficult to open and had to twist it open gently with my groove plier and a strap wrench. So be prepared, since the tin is sort of short with a twist turn top.
I also found that the tip tinner worked well, but on my soldering tip, I still found that I needed to gently file clean the tip beforehand for the tip tinner to work. Even when I use the brass ball pot cleaner for cleaning the tip. I would suggest still have your file handy too.
Now, I never really thought about it, but I did read the instruction manual and it has all these warnings about the flux paste and the tip tinner material and that it should be used in well ventilated areas. So take that into consideration, since like many of us, we do it in our workshop or room. Make sure to open a window.
Overall a good accessory kit to have for using with circuit board soldering. You have to provide the solder and soldering gun or stick. I've added this to my soldering tool kit which is a clear plastic shoe box size in my workshop.

I have used Weller soldering guns & irons since I was in high school and they work great. This kit includes 1 oz container of non-corrosive rosin flux to improve solder flow on electrical connections, ½ oz container of tip tinner which helps to maintain the quality of the soldering tip, a full-length flux brush and a tip cleaner. The tip cleaner is a copper wire mesh in a silicone holder that holds well to the work surface and is a nice addition to any soldering station. Flux and tip tinner are very useful for getting the best possible solder joints. The flux container has a screw-on lid which prevents it from leakage but the tip tinner container has a pop-off lid which if you are not careful, you can spill the contents. Also included are instructions on the 3-step use of the kit which comes in about 8 languages. Only item that is missing to make this kit complete would be a coil of solder. This kit is not made in the USA.

This is a nice kit. Would be better if it included solder too. But for the solder and iron/gun it contains the essential supply needed for soldering electronics, wire and connectors and for cleaning the solder iron tip. Nice to have everything in one kit. The brass cleaning wire and rubber base holder are convenient for cleaning iron tips, and I like that the base of the holder minimizes slippage as you clean the solder iron tip against the brass wire.
Not sure whether it’s a good value as compared to the separate purchase of the individual components, but it’s convenient to be able to get it all in one purchase when you’re just starting out.

I got the Weller Universal Soldering Accessory Kit as it looked like a interesting product to choose.
it comes with flux and a application brush for soldering parts together
it has solder gun tip cleaning solution and wire for cleaning in a holder.
it also has instructions with pictures, how ever if you need to use the instructions then chances are you should be using a staple gun not a soldering gun as both will provide equally bad results.

Really poor owners manual (?), bifold paperwork. A previous model from Weller had an excellent owner’s “manual”. Almost no solder provided with the equipment. Little else than the solder gun. Does appear to be as well made as previous Weller sold guns. And of course well over-priced.

The seller unit has a very limited duty cycle as well as use time. It may be useful for limited hobby use.
