Westpac Fast Set, Setting Compound is the benchmark of the industry. Our setting compound is easy mixing and has the most accurate setting times. Use Westpac fast set compound for pre-filling joints, embedding joint tape and concealing joints, fasteners and cornerbead. Additionally, they can be used for drywall patching and repair. Setting times of 5, 20, 40 and 90 minutes are available for your convenience.

      Q:Is this the product to use to make a textured wall smooth? Will it adhere to gloss paint or should a primer be applied first. Thank you!!!

      A:  In would use at least two coats of all purpose drywall compound. Sand touch up and reapply where necessary. Doesn’t stick well to gloss

        A:  It will work, without a primer.... EXCEPT you'd have to work super, super fast. I suggest you get 90 minute mud and use this 20min version for patches.
