Does this allow for weekly or biweekly settings, not daily? (I would like to set it to turn on a water pump for irrigation 2x/week).
Amy thank you for your question. No, the myTouchSmart Timer model 36027 allows for two customizable on/off times per day, but it does not support weekly or biweekly scheduling directly. This means you can set it to turn on and off at specific times during the day, but you can't program it to operate only on specific days of the week (like only Tuesdays and Fridays).
I'm looking for a timer that can be set to turn off then back on within a minute or two to reset my internet modem on a daily basis. I could work with up to 10 minutes between the on and off cycle. Also, does this timer use a relay for the switching?
Robert, thank you for your question. While this is a great timer I would recommend going with item 26898-P2 based on your needs. This timer has a countdown feature, that you can customize (up to 24 hours - 1 minute intervals) which will do what you are wanting your timer to do.
Will this be able to handle a pump that needs to be on 5 minutes and off 20 minutes then on 5 minutes...etc...?

Does this unit have an internal battery and is it replaceable?
It does not. So if the power goes out, the timer will need to be reset.
It does have an internal backup battery to maintain your settings but its not replaceable.

Will this control a standard household refrigerator? I want to prevent the refrigerator from cycling for 3 hours during flex alerts. During flex alert, the refrigerator won't ever be opened, so large loss of cold air won't be a problem.
