Is The Southwire brown 3 conductor suitable for lamp rewiring

I have one 'remote' irrigation valve I need to add and wire to the sprinkler controller. If I ran this cable inside 1/2" PVC electrical conduit, would this protect the cable sufficiently for outdoor use ?

Product worked well for me
This wire is being used in the building of a model train layout. I bought this wire to connect the remote switches to the activation switches. The 3 conductor setup is perfect for the application...
I'm not an electrician but for me the flexibility of the 3 conductors inside the brown outer coating allows those conductors to move around easily. If the brown outer coating had been packed with insulation the bundled wire would be much stiffer and heavier and the insulation could impede the movement of the individual conductors in a bad way.
I'm installing an automatic gate opener and it specifies 18/3 electrical wire. Is this the correct wire for that application?

Can this wire be used to wire a security system attic horn
If there are no cat 5 or similar requirements from alarm manufacturer it ought to be fine
Thermostat wire is used for all of your thermostat wiring needs. Home Depot carries our shielded and unshielded security cable for these types of installations. You would need to check with the manufacturer of that particular security sytem to see if the thermostat wire was sufficient for that application.
