Im planning on sealing my black granite kitchen counter top. I was wondering what the different uses were between this and daily cleaner. Is this something you should not use daily?
It's something you should not use at all. Daily cleaner is much better.
Bill, there is 3 to 5 bottles of that stuff HD carries so you have be careful which one you pick up and rush to go pay. They kinda sort of look alike. BUT... the best daily bang for the buck that I found is the 3 in 1 stuff. The Clean, Shine & Protect works very well. Just shake well before each use and follow the instructions on the bottle. It's about $9.95 a bottle. It's better than the 2 in 1 $8.95 stuff and way better than the $19.95 a bottle stuff, that is just a sealer ! The 3 in1 works on Granite, Marble, Slate, Limestone and other natural stone surfaces. But you could use the $8.95 2 in 1 or this $9.95 3 in 1 as a daily cleaner if you want after you seal. It's just the 3 in 1 will do a better job & help your sealer last longer.
Our Stone Care International Granite & Stone Clean, Shine & Protect product can be used on any sealed natural stone or solid non-porous countertop. This product is safe for daily use and will clean dust, dirt, and spills from the countertop. It has a polish which will bring the surface to a high shine, and a protectant, which will refresh the sealer to help make the sealer last longer. It is recommended natural stone should be resealed every 6-12 months. We suggested to do the water droplet test to determine if your stone needs to be resealed. Sprinkle some water onto of the stone and let sit for 30 minutes. If the water beads up, it's sealed; however, if the stone become darkened the stone is absorbing the water and the stone would need to be resealed. Our Granite & Stone Daily Cleaner is a cleaner safe for use on any sealed stone or solid non-porous countertop. This product is safe for use on a daily bases and if your countertops are heavily soiled/dirty we suggest to use the daily cleaner first to remove the majority of the grime, than follow up with the Clean, Shine & Protect product. Our Daily Cleaner can be used on unsealed stone to clean the countertop surface before sealing.
Can this product also be used to clean marble or travetine stone floors?
No, this product is intended for use on countertops only as this product does not contain a slip resistance and it not safe for use on the floor as it will make it very slippery. To clean your floors, I would recommend Stone Care International Stone Floor Cleaner. This product is a pH balanced stone cleaner designed to safely clean all stone surfaces without harming the stone's natural crystalline structure and is safe for daily use, This product does need to be diluted on a gallon of water before using, however it does not need to be rinsed off! We recommend to use this product on sealed granite, marble, quartz, travertine, limestone, slate, tile and other stone surfaces.
