I have only been able to set specific times for on and off, does not track sunset/sunrise.
How do you turn ON one hour after sunrise and turn off two hours later? Its for a whole house fan.

I only have one 12/2 with ground wire coming to the switch, the load comes in on the white wire and goes back to the light on the black wire. Will this myTouchSmart switch still work or do I need to run an extra wire with the neutral wire?

How many off/ons per day can I set up? Hard to tell by description.

Will or will not this timer work on a light with a single switch (SPST) wired with 14/2 with ground wiring? I'm guessing it will by connecting the white ground wire to the neutral terminal as I think your wiring indicates. (It's odd that you don't show the incoming bare ground wire being passed through to the load.)
Hello Valued Customer, thank you for your question. This timer can be used to replace an SPST switch as long as you have access to the Neutral (neutral or grounded conductor-typically white). All grounding (Green) wires should be tied together following the electrical code in your area. Romex 14-2 with grounding wire is enough for 15A load and breaker. This is for 3 way switches, where you have 1 or 2 traveler wires, it comes with a separate white wire to hook in to the neutral bundle behind the outlet, and the black or power wire (constant voltage).
Does this work on a 3-way dimmer switch?
No, this product will not work with a three-way dimmer switch.

So this adjusts the on and off time each day? To adjust for the daily change in sunset/sunrise time ? Not just the 1 hour shift on clock on daylight saving time .... but daily ?
