How well would these do in a freezer setting? Our walk-in freezer floors get light frost across the ground at times and is making it slick while we are walking inside of it

Could this be used as a walkway on top of fist sized rounded rocks to get to the water?s edge on Lake Michigan shore? The rock bed is not perfectly level. Can the edges be staked down?
