Sweet and Heat BBQ Sauce 16 oz.

This is a bottle of bbq marinade sauce. It comes in a plastic squeezy bottle which holds sixteen ounces. The bottle lid is a flip cap. What can I say? This sauce tastes great, it is supposed to have some heat in it but couldn’t really taste it. I ended up putting this sauce on everything from burgers to fries even though it’s labeled for pork and chicken.

I ordered the Traeger Sweet & Heat Spicy Bbq Marinade to try with pulled pork. The first thing I liked about it was the squeeze bottle which is ideal because I smoke pulled pork with a rub and some people like the pork without sauce while some (like me) prefer to add sauce as they eat the pork. The consistency of the sauce is important to me as it can’t be too thin or it just runs/drips off the pork. If it’s too thick it is too sticky and can overwhelm the ribs. The consistency of the Traeger sauce is just right; easy to squeeze and it holds to the pork perfectly. The most important characteristic is the flavor and, for me, the Traeger Sweet & Heat Spicy BBQ Marinade nails it. The balance of sweet and spicy is just right without either overwhelming each other or the smokey flavor of the pork. My next experiment will be to try out some of the Traeger rubs to see if they are a better mix with the sauce. I am looking forward to that!

Traeger sweet & heat BBQ sauce is true to its name. This is a sauce that will create a unique and satisfying meal. It can be used on a variety of dishes, although it is recommended for beef, chicken and pork. It has a thick consistency, so it stays where you put it. At first bite you get a sweet taste, then the spiciness kicks in. We used it as a marinade for pork chops and absolutely loved it. We will be trying this on other dishes and be checking out the other products Traeger has available.
