When there is a whole-house outage, including wifi/router/modem, and power is restored but the GFCI remains tripped, will I receive an automatic phone alert without you checking the app?
Yes. If the outlet remains tripped after power and internet service are restored, the D2GF2 can send a push notification to your mobile device through the My Leviton app, so you do not need to routinely open the app to check its status. To receive alerts, the device must be enrolled in the My Leviton app and notifications must be enabled. The outlet cannot send notifications while power or internet service is unavailable, but it can notify you once connectivity has been restored and it reports a tripped condition.
If there is a loss of power from UPSTREAM of the outlet (like from the circuit breaker that feeds that outlet for example), but there is no ground-fault event, will it still send a notification through the app to alert us that power has been lost?
Yes. I got a push notification this morning that there was a service interruptipn. It was because of the internet service going out for a while, but the same happens if the power goes out and you configure the app to send you the notices.
Is this rated weather resistant so it can be used outside?
The included installation instructions say, “This GFCI receptacle is not Weather Resistant (WR) and should not be installed in damp or wet locations.”
Does it allow for each outlet to be controlled by a timer? I need to run a water pump daily, but not 24 hours
No! The Leviton app can only display the GFCI status, it can’t control the outlet sockets or create a schedule 😪🤷🏻♂️

No! You can only see the GFCI status via the My Leviton app. It can be manually reset using the reset button on the outlet, like a conventional GFCI.
