Functions; Can you use one light at a time or does the main light need ti remain on while using the reading light and vice versa?

Nice lamp for my living room.

This slim and elegant lamp was exactly what I was looking for in a living room addition. It arrived well-packaged and easy to assemble. It has 3 color selections and adjusts from dim to bright. It also includes a very handy magnetic remote that can be placed on a metal surface, easy to locate later. The lamp itself has touch-sensitive settings for lighting.

Beautifl reading lamp

This beautiful slim led light is perfect for a new reading corner i an setting up on my bedroom. The product was neatly packaged to prevent any damage in shipping. After unpa king the pieces, it took leas than 15 minutes to assemble. The finished product is slim and stylish. The remite control feature will be great for regulating which light i want on. The top light adjusts ro many angles.

Buttons don’t work

This lamp is a nice idea, but unfortunately the buttons on the lamp itself don’t work. From top to bottom, their functions are: -Top light power on/off -Increase brightness -Decrease brightness -Change warmth -Bottom light power on/off But the power buttons don’t work! Once a light is on, I can adult the brightness or the warmth, but I can’t turn it off or turn another light on. The remote control *does* work, but it’s frustrating to have to use the remote every time I want to adjust the light. I do like the different warmth settings. It’s also helpful that the top light can tip 90 degrees. I just wish I could turn the lights on and off by pressing the buttons on the lamp itself.

A Good Floor Lamp, but Overly Complex

This floor lamp was fairly easy to assemble and essentially works as advertised. It took about 20 minutes to put it together. I really like the ability to tilt the upper lamp in order to focus the light where you need it most . It can be tilted up to 85 degrees from horizontal. The floor lamp allows you to change light color temperature. The controls on the lamp and on the remote control are not intuitive. You will likely need to read the instructions to figure out the proper sequence for adjusting the various features. The instructions are fairly intelligible but written in poor English. I'm not impressed with the remote control. At present, it has very poor range and I can only use it standing within 5 feet of the lamp. I believe I may need to rematch the remote with the lamp itself. There are instructions on how to sync the remote to the lamp. This is not a bad product but the features should be refined so that they are easier for the average user. A stranger who has never used the lamp would find it difficult to turn it on and adjust the settings.

Very Nice Lamp

I really like this lamp. I'll start with my two gripes. First, the color. It is listed as silver gray. I was expecting a metallic silver color, but it is definitely a matte gray color. Not the end of the world, just not what I expected. The assembly was a little wonky. There is a bit of extra cord on one of the sections that needs to be jammed into the tube while screwing the pieces together. I was afraid I was going to damage the cord, but it works. I really like the light from the LEDs. There are several temperature settings that you can cycle through. Typically most LEDs are way to harsh for my liking, but there is a setting that is a soft yellow that mimics an incandescent bulb. It is quite pleasant and the temp I will leave the lamp on for all time. The remote is slick and handy and worked great right out of the box.

Cheap but functional

This is a very basic, utilitarian lamp. It works great in my son’s room to help us read books at night without having the overhead lights on. However, it’s a very blue daylight shade of light so it’s not the least bit soothing or cozy. It’s a bit like an operating room. But the little arm sticking out is very handy for bedtime reading. Other than that, I would never use this lamp as actual decor in my living space. It’s cheap looking.

Bright light

This floor lamp having two different lights is pretty neat. I love how you can use just one or both at the same time. The big light swivels so you can have it straight towards the ceiling or to the side. The small light can be positioned in many way. Being able to pick a warm or cool colored shade is awesome. The big light is very bright but you can dim it to whatever you like. You can use the remote and operate the lights separately. The buttons stick a bit on my remote and it isn’t very reliable. I’ve had to remove the batteries and put back in to get it to work again. The lamp was very easy to assemble.

Such a cool lamp

This is such a cool lamp. It’s actually two lamps in one. Both the top lamp and the small mid-level lamp rotate all sorts of different ways so you can really position them however you want. Took about five minutes to put together and comes with a remote that actually magnetizes to the lamp to keep you from losing it. Everyone in my house is now fighting for this.

Very nice, versatile floor lamp

This is an interesting concept in what marketing folks call a "Torchiere" - a floor lamp, in other words. What makes this one different is the style, which is spare to the point of being considered spartan, and that dual light functionality easily controlled with a remote control. The remote is also fairly spartan in layout - two rows of single-function buttons, one row controlling one lamp. The buttons control which lamp illuminates, with a separate button on each side controlling on/off, color, and brightness. A simple layout, without any complicated keypresses or fussiness. Lamp assembly was straightforward enough, the pole is comprised of multiple sections that screw together easily. One caution must be mentioned, and that is with unpacking the lamp. All the various bits are well packaged in two-sided styrofoam, with the components arranged neatly on one side and the heavy base plate on the other. Care should be taken when unpacking so as to not have the heavy base assembly fall out of the package, have to be prepared to get a good grip on the base so it doesn't fall away. If that happens you could easily have the heavy base plate assemble fall out and then drop onto the floor, or (even worse) onto your foot. It's heavy enough to cause some serious damage, so think it through while unpacking. Using the lamp in simple enough with the remote control, with the only thing hampering that action is the relatively short range of the remote (two AAA batteries needed for the remote are NOT included). You have to hold the remote within a few feet of the lamp to get consistent control over the various functions. That was a little disappointing. The lamp also has a secondary touch-sensitive control bar on the shaft to the lamp itself (not a remote) which itself was a mixed bag. The four buttons worked, mostly, but not always, which was irritating enough to where I ended up ignoring that controller for the most part. Assembly and use instructions were included, though not with much detail on how the remote and pole-mounted control bar actually worked. Figuring it out did not take much effort, fortunately. All in all I rated it with four stars - the lamp works well once it is set up, and looks very nice in a contemporary home environment appropriate to its spare design. The only reason why it didn't rate a five-star review is with the remote's very short range, and with the inconsistent operation of the pole-mounted control bar.
