Is anything else needed to replace my current brick mailbox light post with this one?
Simply remove your original lamp and make sure your post is a 3-inch round post—then you can install and use this lamp right away. Alternatively, you can use the included base to install the lamp without needing a post.
In one of the reviews it said there is an off/on switch. Is this a manual switch or is there a remote control for this light??
It includes a manual light switch and features a dusk-to-dawn photocell, automatically turning on at dusk and off during daylight.
From what it looks like in the picture I couldn’t tell if the very bottom of the base is sealed with glass panels to keep bugs out?
While the base is not sealed, the bottom of the lamp body is enclosed to prevent bugs from entering.
