A:  The amount of lift height depends on the weight being lifted, the shape of the lifted area (full or partial coverage) and the strength in one’s hand or feet, depending on how it is pumped up. With no load, it will fill to about 2 ½ inches. With a 300 lb full coverage load, it will lift from ¾ to 1” typically.

A:  Yes. A locksmith used one to shim my door open once. The only problem was the shim slightly bent the door frame and the wire he used to hit the latch puncture the insulation so I had some road noise the rest of the time I wonder the car.

A:  It will not open a car door, but it can help to get the top back edge on some cars open enough to get an unlocking tool access to unlock the door.

A:  I seriously doubt that is possible since you have to apply the force through pumping up the bladder with the hand squeeze pump, plus it would likely take more than 300lb of force to open the car door. Better off getting locksmith. If it's a GM don't use a slim jim or you may be paying to have the locks reconnected to the linkage if they haven't changed the design in recent years.

A:  Jackson not sure if they recommend this for that application. i have seen other similar ones that come with lockout kits.. if it fit it would not unlock the door but rather would help with access for other tools to do so.

A:  Well if you lock out this is not going to get you in your truck

A:  Raz i have run into that before with other products.. in some cases they have not been put out on the floor yet.. i found mine in the hand tool section. also when looking online for in store items many times the location of the item will be listed.

A:  The app on my iPhone shows an aisle location for the home store. Can” say whether it is correct or not but worth a try.

A:  they have them where levels and pry bars are.I had the same problem at our local.No one heard of them but after ordering online from maker for35.00 for 2 I found them for 12.00 on the shelf

A:  They told me the people at night don’t know where to put the new stuff at so they’d have no idea where it’s at

A:  My Home Depot had it in one of the three hand tool aisles near the pry bars.

A:  For the same reason my store says they have 10 but no one can find one. At the same time I needed 2 other items. 1 claimed they have 67, other 24, JOKE! They just want you to buy something more expensive is my guess.

A:  Yes but you can just use a piece of rubber or plastic for that

A:  No it is not designed for that use, it is designed to lift heavy objects off the floor a few inches.

A:  No it’s probably not strong enough first when I had ended up breaking it I’m not real happy with the product

A:  Nailer it could be used for that if you could fit it under a solid object you wanted to lift or remove.. keep in mind you dont want to use it in a way that it will get punctured. all in all it is a great tool that i keep finding new uses for. a great addition to my tools

A:  I don't really know it looks like rubber. Tried looking it up but couldn't find any info on it.

A:  Hello KITKAT ; The bag on this Air Shim pry bar seems to be made out of a thick vinyl/ nylon combination. It kind of reminds me of the inside bladder of a tow behind water tube. Hope this helps you.

A:  Heavy mil. thickness rubber. I'm not concerned about sliding it into any unfinished opening.

A:  Don't think there's any extension available from the manufacturer but it is essentially rubber tubing and could be hooked up with same size rubber tubing and splicing connectors.

A:  Yes u can extend the hose all u need to do is buy the rubber vacuum hose they sell in the rolles that u can buy by the foot they cut the length u need there just make sure u get the same diameter, i know cuz i did the same thing and by the way that price they sell for is a great deal i originally bought mine off the snap on tool truck for double the price as part of a car lock out kit but i use it for popping dents out iam a bodyman that tool is for all types of application

A:  You could buy tube if cut and extend the pump ball or pvc
