A: Hello, This wrench weighs approximately 0.75 lbs.
A: 1 inch
A: I bought mine Saturday and it broke within one little turn
A: About 1/2".
A: The strap is 3/4” in width.
A: Bhc1, the strap is 0.77 inches wide.
A: Not worth it to bother, sadly we are in a disposable economy and that's just not economically made to replace that portion.
A: No
A: Hey Jim, We don't replace just the strap but the entire tool carries a lifetime warranty. Thanks!
A: Yea but Husky may just replace the whole tool under a warranty claim
A: Yes...I have this and used it to unscrew the Meon bathroom faucet base.......works great. Have a problem, YouTube has videos on using a strap wrench.....
A: Yes it works on any size but, just apply it the right way and it should loosen the faucet nut
A: Not the tool to use for removing a faucet. Look under the sink on the bottom side and use a crows foot or wrench.
A: Yes...I bought this for the same reason. It works great. You just have to do it a couple tries to get the strap going the correct direction. Then it easily turns the Meon faucet base.. I have used it several times to replace Moen cartridge on bathroom sink faucet....
A: You didn't mention whether this is a kitchen or bathroom faucet, but most Moen handles have screws that need to be removed prior to lifting the handle off. The screw is usually disguised with a small cap (often adorned with the Moen red and blue water droplets logo). The cap can be lifted up with a fingernail or flathead screwdriver to expose the set screw. If your faucet is a widespread model with handles 8" apart, the trim piece resting on the counter needs to be unscrewed from the faucet valve.
A: PLEASE FOLLOW THE ILLUSTRATIONS ATTACHED IT GOES AROUND THE OBJECT THROUGH THE METAL LINK THEN THROUGH THE HOLE ON TOP 0F THE WRENCH
A: Paul, pull strap through opening in handle and tighten down over piece your looking to take off or put on. It only can be used one way so you will have to turn the wrench in the opposite direction with your application.
A: Hard to explain so go to YouTube...they have videos on using the strap wrench...........
A: Go through the metal hinge and then through the hole in the handle. This was my same question when I got the product. It is great to work with. I told them to include an image or instructions.
A: Not good broke first time using it
A: Encircle whatever you plan to apply force to and thread the strap across the top non-buckle/hinge side of the wrench and through the metal buckle/hinge. You are now able to tighten up the strap and turn it toward the non-buckle/hinge side. Just flip the wrench, repeat the above operation to apply force in the opposite direction.
A: Hi Paul, I am not sure of the official way to thread the strap but I ran the strap through the metal connector. Similar to that of the picture
A: This may help you understand visually by viewing the photo and your question how thread strap through handle. All I did was do screen shot of the photo that is on the product page itself.
A: Unfortunately it doesn't come with instructions. However I pulled the tip of the strap through the metal piece that holds the strap, between the strap and the handle, like a belt buckle. Then I pulled the strap through while pulling the metal piece toward the handle. It's hard to pull through which is why I ended up returning it. Not user friendly. An employee told me it worked like a ratchet but it didn't for me, so maybe there's a trick to it, hence why it should include instructions.
A: More than likely yes , unless the plastic is super UV damaged just go easy because it does squeeze as it tightens .
A: I don’t see why not
A: Hey DJ, I can't speak to your exact use but it will grasp any cylindrical object from 1 to 8 inches in diameter and works well on pvc pipes and round fittings. Thanks!
A: I use it to loosen water filter housings. If it fits around the object you want to loosen, it should work. I have not noticed it slip if it was wet.
A: I'd image so. I used mine to loosen an oven light cover in an LG range.
A: Hi Ricky, the torque specifications on this strap wrench meet all applicable ANSI specifications.
A: I have no idea as there is no practical way to measure it without some type of rig. However, it is made for the removal of auto oil filters and works quite well at that (providing there is clearance for the handle in tight spaces.
A: Not much. Mine broke at about 30 ft-lbs.
A: Not sure of the torque I only use for plumbing fixtures to not damage finish. Wrench works well for this application.
A: No idea. I would imagine this tool is made to work on things that are slightly more than hand tight. I think it was about $8 when I bought mine, so if it breaks your not out much.
A: If the cover is a twist type, this tool should do it. I use it to open jars, and not just small jars but big pickle jars.
A: Hi Frustrated, yes this should work to remove the cover.
A: Not sure how your oven light is set up ? Mine happens to have 2 tiny screws kind of off the sides of the cover . If your cover actually screws in it might work out
A: If it's a matter of getting something to rotate that just doesn't want to budge, this wrench is a good bet.
A: This could work, however make sure you have enough room to get the strap around. Good luck!
How can we help?
