A: Should be fine. I use it on rubber gasket attached to a plastic housing for my well water system. I just apply a fine layer with my finger all the way around the gasket. Works great.
A: Not being a plumber, I can Not say with 100% certainty that the Danco Silicone Lubricant will work on the RV Toilet, but I suspect that it would work. I have used the Danco product multiple times to lubricate Faucet Stems (hot & cold), Tri-Stage, Point-of-Entry (POE) whole house filtration systems, Point-of-Use (POU) Reverse Osmosis systems, and the Danco Lubricant has performed admirably.. However, when I use Silicone Grease in "Harsher" environments, such as Automotive, Boating, where the temperatures can be more extreme, (Engine Compartments) and/or strong chemicals may be present (Battery Acid, Salt-Water), I tend to use "Di-Electric" Silicone Grease. I believe that "Plumbing" Silicone Grease has a working temperature range of about -40 to about 400 degrees. Whereas Di-Electric Silicone Grease maintains its properties to approximately 600 to 800 degrees. In other words, I do not think that the RV toilet will be subject to extreme temperatures, but I do not know how harsh the RV Toilet Treatments (Camco, etc.) would be on the Danco Lubricant. Sorry, that I can Not give you a more definitive answer, possibly just a bit Info to consider..
A: It’s meant for faucets, I don’t know if it’s appropriate for toilets, but I suspect you’d need 2 or 3 tubes at the least. There should be a more appropriate product. I’ve never used more than a wax ring.
A: I wouldn’t recommend it beyond regular plumbing. I would check instead with an auto parts graded grease.
A: I'm pretty sure it would be okay to use, I think this was made without petroleum ingredients which would cause the o-rings on the cartridges to fail prematurely. So I think it would safer than a product with petroleum products in it!
A: Yes
A: Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. This silicone-based Faucet Grease has been tested and approved for residential plumbing applications with potable/drinking water. We suggest reaching out to SharkBite for information on adding lubrication to their products. They can be reached at 1-877-700-4242.
A: I don’t see why not. It is definitely o-ring friendly. It is a good, heavy pure silicon grease made for faucet parts including o-rings. I always use it when rebuilding any faucets.
