Q:I have a 5’ high crawlspace with the ceiling covered with exposed fiberglass batts. The ground/dirt of the crawlspace is covered with a black vapor barrier. Can I cover the batts with Rtech? is so, shall the shiny side face the batts or the ground?

A:  Depending on your intended construction, maybe. The unfinished edges don’t take paint very well.

    A:  Yes. Use a good latex primer and then 2 coat it with a good acrylic latex paint. Without primer, paint will not adhere properly.
