A:  Hello Robert, I am Colin with Simpson Strong-Tie. I believe you are referring to the Outdoor Accents Light Joist Hanger, part # APLH210. This is installed with the #10 x 1-1/2" black screws, part # SD10112DBBR50 (50 count). The screws you indicated SDWS22312DBBRC12 (12 count) will not fit APLH210. A:  If you use the correct Strong Tie brackets for your application, they should work. They are strong screws and worked for me in 6X6 lumber.
