Not stone, clay, ceramic tiles. Vinyl tile is fine.

No. You need tile bits similar to concrete bits.

Yes they will drill out the stud, but you might do better with an “easy out”. If you can use a drill press to keep the bit steady with cutting oil, that will also help.

No. Use a step bit first. They are designed for hardened steel.

These work on some pretty hard material. I installed an aftermarket Jeep lift kit using these bits, and even purchased some larger ones of the same type.

For Milwaukee only, what kind of steel alloy are these made from and how thick is the titanium nitride coating? Are they M2, 4341, 4241 etc?

It has been over 5 years that I have had this set of Milwaukee bits. There is no reference to country of origin or manufacture ... they have lasted well ... I broke my first bit only last month ... and none have separated the bit part from the easy quarter inch ends. Where ever they are made, they are way better than the average bit.

On the left side of the package, I believe it says they are made in China. The picture is one I pulled off of Home Depots website where a reviewer had posted a picture. sorry for the clarity but it is the best I could do..

                                        Great for multiple applications
I use on a daily basis any combination of these bits for anything from wood to hard metal. I’ve noticed these will fill after a few metal jobs. But as far as using for wood they are amazing even if the top has filled from hard metal usage. I don’t know if that’s carry any kind of replacement warranty if dulled but really would like to find out. I am a heavy Milwaukee user and regular Milwaukee enthusiast as well as unofficial brand embassador. I eat sleep and breathe Milwaukee tools and I share my thoughts and enthusiasm with others.

Lower quality than expected from a Milwaukee tool
The larger bits are OK, but the smaller bits are very weak. I have had two of them simply spin out of their holder when cutting holes in sheet metal at low speed. They case is also a bad design, usually requiring a screwdriver to remove them from the plastic sheath they are in. I would not recommend these.

I really tried to like these drill bits ....
Bought these bits because of the Milwaukee name, but have truly been disappointed. First off it is so hard to pull the bits from the case. I've cut myself pulling bits from the case before. At first I thought these bits were pretty good, but I was drilling into soft materials. When trying to drill into harder materials, its like pushing the bit through instead of actually drilling. I would not buy these again ... period.

                                                  Drill bit packaging?
I haven't drilled any holes yet - just got this for Christmas! The first thing that stood out to me was that the box is at least twice as big as it needs to be! I also noticed that it has no holes drilled into it so you can see what size bit that you need - my 40 year old one has this feature. I am, however, looking forward to drilling holes without having the bit slip in the chuck on my drill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Milwaukee Tool - Kit 15 PC TiN SHOCKWAVE™ to replace my old, broken set. I like to fix stuff around the house, build small things and this Drill Bit Set is perfect for my every day use. I can use it in wood, metal and PVC . I can use it in small jobs and big ones. the variety of sizes makes it versaible. they are easy to connect and the bits are sharp to make a hole fast. Like the carryng case. I recommend this set !

Thick ones work fine for me. But two thinner ones broke during the first use. Claiming warranty is also a hassle, driving 40 minutes for two drill bits is definitely too much for me.
