Terrible quality control with dimensions
I bought a bundle of these and hardly any 2 were the same cross section dimensions. They ranged from 1.34" to 1.53", a difference of over 3/16". Many of them also had rough milling marks and poorly rounded edges. I suppose they're good enough for a "rustic" railing, but it makes them difficult to use if you want a more finished look.

This is an excellent product. I needed 16 spindles...
This is an excellent product. I needed 16 spindles for some steps handrails I was building and the 16 spindles in the bundle was perfect. All of the material was clean and straight and perfect for the job. It’s advertised as 2”x2” but is actual about 1-5/16” square.

Only about 10% of the spindles were cracked or had too many knots. Not bad for “big box store “ lumber.
