I repainted cabinets that I first did 27 years ago in an oil base. Back then oil was the only way to go. I attempted trying latex maybe 12 years ago on some trim and immediately went back to oil.
I was not sure how latex was going to turn out this time around. It never sprayed right, always showed brush lines and was gummy if you needed to sand it.
That is all behind us with this Behr product. It worked better than the oil for a finish, cleaned up easy and sprayed great.

Bubbles up
I purchased two colors and now have to go return the second one. Was told it was because I made it darker, then because it was cold, but no because this second one was not modified and same issues. Don’t bother with this because it’s up to luck. I used all kinds of rollers, brushes, and it delayed my projects by 3 weeks because I’m a twin mom and have babies with limited time. Unbelievable, just use what they recommend, scuff defense paint.

If this has not been fixed yet, we recommend sanding the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper, clean, and let dry before touching up or recoating. Priming is recommended if sanded down to the previous coating or bare surface. The BEST cabinet paint, hands down!
This paint is amazing, it dries to s perfect fininsh, I never had an issue with an eggshell finish, cleans up easily, too. I will never use a diff cabinet paint, so glad my daughter found it. Worth the price.

The Best Cabinet Paint Ever!!!!
I actually thought, ok it's Cabinet paint. Dries in 2 hours and you can shut the cabinet doors. Sounded to good to be true.
What if I tell you I backed up accidentally stepped on the door (with shoes on) that was on wood blocks on the floor 2 hours after painting and nothing happened to it. I couldn't even believe it. This paint did for me what it said it would do. I love this paint.

Really disappointed
Used this to paint my cabinets. After cleaning, sanding, and priming, I used a high density foam roller and it came out looking like orange peel as soon as I applied it. It leveled out a little bit but not to a smooth texture. It also had lots of little bubbles even though I didn’t thin it out like the instructions say. This project was supposed to be finished last night, now I might be looking at started over at the sanding process. 🤦🏼♀️

To fix this, I recommend sanding smooth the bubbles/texture and cleaning the surface with a damp rag. Then you can apply another coat with a nylon/polyester brush or 1/4in nap roller if needed. did everything Behr mentions in this response from Ronald Behr( had to edit a bit can not put all words here), still have cracks!!!
Hi Rodd, . Sorry to hear that the Cabinet& Trim Paint cracked over the caulking. it is recommended to apply the paint over a primed surface. This may be why the paint cracked. I'd recommend sanding the cracks smooth and priming the surface with our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer before touching up with paint. Customer satisfaction is important to us, . -RonaldBehr

Be prepared for multiple coats
This paint was very thin. It took 3 coats to cover. I should have spent an extra $20 and bought Benjamin Moore and saved myself a lot of time. It does look nice when finished.

Brushes On Great, Sprays Beautifully
We decided to paint the 15 year old Kent Moore cabinets in our kitchen. We washed all with TSP and then lightly sanded with 320 grit paper. Then we brushed (and sprayed) on primer, since the paint does not include primer. My wife brushed in face frames, while I HVLP sprayed the doors and drawer fronts. We are extremely happy with the paint. Goes on like butter!

Great paint.
It works very well and looks great. I chose Whispering White as the color. I wish it would be sold in a 5 gallon container as well. I ended up buying 6 gallons total as we were refinishing all the cabinets, doors, trim, vanities, etc. in a large home.

Not sure why there’s so many good reviews
I bought this to try and add a more “professional” looks to a shoe cubby I was building. The project was made from 3/4 birch ply that I sanded to 600 grit, I used 2 coats of the primer that Behr recommended on the back of the can, the primer went on very smooth, then I applied this paint with the recommended roller, and it came out very blotchey, and DID NOT self level. Ruined the finish of my cubby, I had to sand off the paint, and repaint, 0/10 do not recommend.

Great paint
Used this paint and Behring primer to paint my bathroom vanity in gray. Original vanity was white vinyl type finish. I’ve done a lot of refinishing and never used a better product! Project turned out perfect. Love this paint and the Bear primer.

Amazing paint
This paint is the best in all aspects I am so so happy how my kitchen cabinets turned out you don’t need to spray paint I used a good paint brush and a Foam roller it went on smoothly. It’s spread nicely. I clean my paint brush after I was done with no problem. I did prime before painting oh and it dried in 30 minutes I really recommend this paint my next project is my bathroom

Dark colored paint is a waste of $$
Bought this paint as recommended by HD employee. We painted our upper kitchen cabinets an off white, exact same process of cleaning, sanding and priming. Exact same paint, except color. These cabinets get just as much use as our lowers. Uppers have held up great. The lowers, we got deep blue sea, it's a "navy" color, the paint seems tachy in some areas, scuffs and chips SO easily. When lightly cleaning with water, paint color comes off on rag. I'm having to redo ALL lower cabinets. Waste of $!

If the paint has been applied for longer than a week, I'd recommend lightly cleaning the coating with soap and water and it should help remove the tackiness. Very good coverage. I cleaned and sanded with 150 grit. There wasn't much stain left on these cabinets. There was thick dark brown stenciling on the cabinets when I moved in. I didn't try to remove it or sand it down, just painted over it. This was only one coat of paint and I think it did a very good job of covering it. I'm letting them dry for a couple of days before painting the second coat (Just my preference.) So far, I'm really happy with this paint.

High cos for average quality
I had new doors installed on three bedrooms, closet and bathroom. Doors were off-white and started showing hand-marked. I selected to buy a premium quality paint to dojob right. It take two priming coats and then a thick coat( peanut butter thick to get a premium look.
Disappointed, I expected better from Behr.

Cracked as Soon as it Dried
We used this paint for our kitchen cabinets. We did all the prep work (washed, sanded, primed) and then I used a foam roller to roll onto the cabinet bases. The texture was not good and in many of the corners, the paint cracked upon drying. My husband sprayed the paint on the doors and they all immediately cracked as drying. So now we have two gallons of this paint and are going to have to buy more of a different paint, along with scraping all of this off the doors. Disaster.

I won’t use any other paint than this one
I really like this paint. It is thick and good coverage but at the same time it is easy to work with. I did two coverages and has not faded, chipped off or split. I painted my cabinets on 09/2020 so it has been a year and a half with no issues. I used two different paint colors and would use it again.
