This is a great machine. I craft tote bags, purses and luggage pieces. I love it!

I had this less than six months when it would take a few stitches and then make a terrible noise, the needle bar would slowly move and shake, then an E6 error would be given. Machine booklet states no oiling needed but the shaft bearing was sticking. A YouTube video by a sewing machine repairman explained the error. He cleaned around the bearing removing black gunk then squirted oil on both sides. There was no way to reoil without totally taking this machine apart. Many people had this same problem. You can redo the oil by taking out screws but this machine cost less than a repair shop visit would so I’m doing it myself. Bad workmanship. Pay more and get a better quality machine.

This is my first sewing machine and I'm in love with it! It's super easy to use and I've hemmed almost all my jeans with it. If you're a beginner at sewing, don't worry, you'll learn how to use this in a few minutes!!

It can struggle at times but for the most part its everything I wanted in a beginner sewing machine.

Great sewing machine for beginners and those with experience. Been using this for over a month now. This was my first computerized sewing machine and it's been easy to use and a great experience. love this sewing machine, it is easy to use and has ample choices of stitch types. And, it’s quiet!

This machine eats knit fabrics when sewing with a stretch or zigzag stitch. I use ballpoint needles, ensure feed dogs are clean, have tried different thread brands. It will sew for maybe 30 stitches if I am lucky, and then it swallows up the fabric. So frustrating and ridiculous. Will be looking for another machine and it won’t be a Brother.

Excellent product. I am a beginner and I fell in love with this machine. Very easy to use. I have had it for one month. I took a one day sewing class at a library that had purchased these machines for check out and for future classes. It was so easy to use I could not believe it. I instantly fell in love with it. My husband purchased it through Home Depot. Imagine that. Home Depot sells sewing machines

The reason I bought this machine was for the speed control, because I broke my sewing foot and even after it has healed I still have issues controlling my speed with the foot pedal. I love being able to set the speed I want to go and step on the pedal without fear of going too fast and making a mistake. The machine sews wonderfully and gives me so many stitch choices that I am truly in love with how I can add that little bit extra to my projects. After I bought this machine my Mom bought one as well. She has neuropathy in her feet and this machine lets her sew again which is a blessing. Thank you Brother for giving us an affordable machine that doesn't feel cheap and has features you might find in machines at higher price point.

Easy to use, very good machine at a good price! I have had this machine about 6 weeks and have been using it without difficulty. Instructions are user-friendly. It sews well. I have used straight, zig-zag and blind hemstitch. I have not tried buttonholes yet. It is lightweight but feels sturdy. I would recommend for a beginner or intermediate sewer. I can't comment on the quilting or embroidery stitches as I have not used them.

I LOVE the features. And just getting back into this hobby, ive been practicing. I have followed the manuel and 30 youtube videos. But i sit down to practice and 1/2 the time its perfect, the other 1/2 jams badly.

Exactly what I was expecting. My friend has one that she uses for away sewing and I had tried hers. I’m going to a quilting class later this week and will give it a full test.

The sewing machine met my expectations!

Initially, I loved my CS6000i so much that when my daughter asked for a machine of her own, this is what I bought her. Then BOTH machines started having issues. Mine had to have the bobbin case replaced, and I don't know yet if that solved the issue of the thing spinning around and getting hit by the needle. My daughter's machine has E-6 error, even when the machine is cleaned and no thread is in it! Not sure how it can have jammed up thread when there isn't any in the machine! While I would have bought it again before, NOW, I wouldn't recommend it! It seems like a great machine at first, but after a few months of sewing with it, it just quits working correctly!

Haven’t sewn since home ec class in 1987. Got this machine as a gift and it’s been amazing. Easy to learn to use. Was intimidated by using a “computerized” machine, but no reason to be since it is very beginner friendly. User manual has easy to understand instructions. Great product.

I am really enjoying the many features of this sewing machine! I haven't sewn in years and I made an excellent decision by selecting this particular brand/model. I have bought other Brothers products and this brand has always been at the top of the "buy" list.

I am so elated that this machines quilts & sews. It's super light weight & does an excellent jobs on fabric. The 60 stitches options are over the top. My mom loves it so I purchased one for her last week. Ladies in my sewing class asked me which sewing machine should they buy, now two ladies have the same machine. So far I love the machine but I haven't been able to use all of the features yet

we were warned that the plastic gears don't hold up as well as machines costing twice as much. but for what it will be used for, it works better than expected. picked up the 2-year warranty that starts after the Manufacture warranty to help.

Great basic sewing machine. Easy to use, light weight. Great features such as drop in bobbin, push button start and stop, needle position button, 60 stitches, light, quilting table and buttonhole attachment.

I just started using it but it seems to work great. The instructions were very easy to follow. I can’t wait to start some projects.
