I had a cheap very thin garage door, millimeter thick made of wood. I have a north facing garage door so didn't get the worst of direct sunlight. However, when it got cold outside it would get equally cold in the garage as it would with the heat. After installing this garage door, it made a massive difference when hot or cold outside. I purchased mine in late 2023 with veteran discount and tax at $1,683.98. I had an installer get it installed for about $360. It looks great outside and inside.

I was impressed with the quality of the doors, but both doors were dented. I didn’t install them right away and damage needed to be reported within 14 days. There was zero damage to the boxes, I suggest opening the boxes and inspecting the panels even if there’s no visible damage to the boxes. Lesson learned.

We installed two of these doors and had no problem with install or quality. In today's market the pricing is fair. We recommend Clopay.

Every single panel had Dents, Had to go back and go thru 3 more boxes to find 2 panels with no noticeable dents on the outside, We had installer here with us, so he had to choose what we could use, We still have dents but they are in the inside of the garage, will not purchase anymore Clopay products, will not let me up load photos, I have many, even the ones on the doors on the inside, had no choice but to keep them as old ones were takened off and broken down

Clopay HDLP20 with Madison 611 windows and the Medallion upgrade. Home Depot order #H3102-92272. Case #1229666. It's a GREAT door and I have noticed that the insulation really is an improvement over my old door in keeping my garage heat in during cold weather and the air conditioning not working so hard in the warm weather. The windows are great too letting in lots of light so I usually don't need my garage lights on. The Medallion upgraded hinges look very strong and the Medallion rollers are very quiet when opening and closing the door. I'm not sure about the Medallion high cycle springs though, they just don't look correct. Buy this door, you will love it!

This garage door looks good and is excellent in sound and insulation value. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the bottom seal is pretty cheap and will roll under the door leaving a gap on the ends for rodents and critters to enter your garage. I had to stuff some garden hose in the gasket to get it seal properly. They need to provide a thicker gasket for the bottom.

The garage door was very much what I expected. However, when I opened what appeared to be the undamaged package, there was creasing on two of the four panels. I bought two of these at the same time, and there was damage on two of the four panels on the second door also. Unfortunately, I had already removed and disposed of the old door, so I had no choice but to install the slightly damaged panels. My wife also commented on the creases, so it is not something easily overlooked.

Be certain to READ the installation instructions! Installation is particular - perfect and simple IF you FOLLOW directions specifically with precise order of steps. Installation was otherwise straightforward and easy if steps were followed in order precisely. I gave it 4 stars because of the "hardware" included. Hardware is very cheap - plastic and flimsy, not metal. Did not install it all because of that. We got a garage door opener instead.

The kit came with everything you need to install the door including a DVD and detailed directions. Plan ahead on this one! It took the wife and I 12 hours to install this bad boy, but it went in a lot easier than expected and the kit contained all the parts we needed including the track and EZ torsion springs.

The doors were a good value and I liked the appearance. The doors are of a good design but suffer from poor workmanship overall. I received one door with several dents in a panel and am now waiting for a month for a replacement. I also noticed that all labels are applied messy and haphazardly which leaves me concerned on overall quality and other manufacturing steps which may be deficient.

The instructions stipulate i needed help, but with a little imagination and planning, it got done in one evening, all by myself. Yes, I can lift 300 lbs. The Install DVD was helpful, but glommed over some of the technical details - refer to written instructions. The written instructions were also helpful, but a couple of the pictures showed the side rails installed upside down and swapped. After a little head scratching, I had to tear them apart and put them back in the correct orientation. The top rail alignment instruction was -- vacant. I used a framing square resting on the top panel edge and suspended it with a broom handle to point to where the top rail should end. I was replacing barn doors with a smaller garage door, so my install didn't follow the directions. I mounted one side rail, assembled the lower door sections, then mounted the other side rail. I will frame the doorway later to seal it. This was my first garage door 'new' installation and I must say I am impressed. I can raise and lower it using one finger.

Purchased online after going to store and research the door. Delivered several wks earlier than posted. The torsion kit received was from 2 different kits easy springs with a standard install kit. Niether compatible told I have to wait several weeks for replacement. After I had to send pictures verifying what I had I don’t recommend. If you have to wait this long.

The only one left in the store box in poor condition and when I opened it two panels were damaged, now I need to figure out how to get it back to the store

We purchased 2 of the Clopay insulated doors no glass to replace our old wood garage doors with glass. Once we got home we checked the panels to make sure they where not dented, one box had dents in all panels (looked like they where hit with a forklift) called Home Depot and they offered to deliver a new door but since we still had it one the truck we went to the store and exchanged it. It took 9 hours to install both doors, directions were fairly easy to follow. My advise is to first check panels as soon as you get home, read through the directions before starting, and do one page at a time. The only complaint was the handles are plastic so we are buying new metal handles did not install the plastic ones it came with.

The new door vertical track is about one foot longer than the old one. My garage does not have that much space. My friend told me it used to be able to order the door with different track options. Now I can't put the new track on. Another problem is that you need to drill holes for the lift handle yourself. The instruction says there are marks for the lift handle on the front of first panel for you to drill holes. But I don't see any mark of that.

The door came in dented in the box, the spring and cable system is very unsafe and the instructions to tie the wire are even worst. Had to buy a kit with an actual spring and rod and I’m still dealing with the door as it doesn’t have any seal to cover the gap outside. Would NEVER buy this again.

The doors showed up with some noticeable dents in them. One of the panels had a large dent the height of the panel. Luckily the dents were on the inside, but still you would not expect to see dents this bad in a brand new door. We were able to smooth some out, but still barely visable. We couldn't return the doors because we had someone putting the doors up when the dents were noticeable. I did call customer support to complain and they gave us 25% of the cost back. So overall I can live with the dents for that.

Good except the first one looked like a truck hit it and had to go back to HD to get another one. Install is easy and product is good otherwise.

The door installed very easy - and we replaced all the existing track with the new and it just took a bit of time to go through and get it all tightened well. I'm very happy with the product and it looks great.

We bought two of these insulated garage doors to replace two original garage doors that were 15 years old and were damaged. These are MUCH better quality than the ones I originally purchased from a competitor. We are quite happy with our purchase and would highly recommend them!

I ordered online and picked up at the local store. Door was packaged from the manufacturer without most of its mounting hardware. While the Clopay paperwork said not to return to the store and to contact them, they would not stand behind their product and told me to contact the store since it was a stock order. HomeDepot.com told me I had to contact the local store. The local store offered to replace it, but I had already installed it using the existing hardware from my old door. Twelve days, four phone calls, and several emails later, I was issued a partial credit from Home Depot for the inconvenience. Fortunately, I was able to reuse the old hardware and purchase replacements for the worn parts so it is installed and has been working for the last 12 days.

Relatively easy to assemble.
