Can't use over 15 feet. Get info error messages. If you flinch, shake or don't keep perfectly still the reading will be off. Goes thru too many batteries.

Incredibly insane lovin’ it

The laser level is pretty good, but the laser distance measurer DW065 is really bad. It can work in short distance well. But when you need to measure a long distance, it often comes out "101" error, even like not more than 30'. This really makes me so disappointed.

Works great in the morning and in low light situations but completely useless when the sun is out. It seems that the sun light prevents the device from reading. You also can not see the laser in those situations either.

Just what I needed

The only reason I said I would not recommend this product is because I was a little mislead. I thought this product would give me the square footage of a room. That turned out not to be the case. It gives me the volume and not square footage.

It is good to 50’ but has issues in linger distances. Great for short distance measurements. The area and volume options intreging

At critical times, the laser display would say "info 101". It happened so often, I returned the unit to Home Depot.

Don’t like that I haven’t found a way to default to feet not meters.

It’s good tool to use

Neat added feature for figuring area and volume from your measurements right on the tape tool. I wasn't expecting that. Dewalt = above & beyond expectations.

It was ok but returned it because once it gave square footage total of something it would not add it to other measurements of square footage to give a total.

The package did not contain a user's manual. I found one on line so why not in the original package? I guess DE WALT is going down hill on their products.

great product, worked like a champ with exact measurements.

Great tool to have in your toolbox. I’m a electrician and the biggest tape measure I carry is a 25’ tape. It’s nice to have something that can measure longer than that. Just make sure you get a pouch for it.

Bought one for installing crown moulding - discovered that it is off consistently by +1/2 - 3/4" over 16' - fortunately it measured long, so the pieces of stock could be recut and weren't wasted! I suppose it's ok for getting a ballpark measurement.

It is handy and light to carry around.. I need one for am as built field measurement of a remodel project that instant, it was between two brands. I liked it for the black background and white numbers. wrong it was not readable outside. Just not happy with it. I have used better one. it does have and easy unit change from feet and inches to just feet or inch. also easy to change from imperial to metric measurement. For me Dewalt could have dome better and i was expecting it to be made in the US not China.

Looks like it may work fine but I will never know since the metric system does not apply in this area. I can not believe their isn't a way to change this stupid thing, if their is it isn't simple. Since I would have been using this for work there isn't anytime for conversions.

I am returning the laser back today it work only for short distances 30 or less it is rated 65ft.
