C9 LED Poor Quality
We thought these would be a great fit this year as they were made by GE and they were LED. we bought the all blue versian and they were a real disappointment they slowly faded after 2 weeks. a couple of them burned out and I replaced them with the supplied extra bulbs and they were considerably brighter than the rest of the string. going to be taking these back and getting a full refund. GE should have been a sure thing but they have really slid in quality over the years.

Just put these lights up about a week ago. They are very bright and have a really nice look to them. Already getting compliments and people telling me they remind them of their childhood. So far, really happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sample about a week ago and when I opened the box it brought back my childhood Christmas memories. I remember how bright they were and how much fun I had helping my dad hang the old glass bulbs outside. These ones look and sound just like the old glass ones when you click them together, but, it's a durable plastic that looks and fill like the old glass ones. I got the 50 bulb package and you can cover a good distance with them. Another plus with this set is that if one bulb dies, the rest of them will still work just like the older glass bulbs. I temporarily hung them up on my mantle so I can add some pictures to the review and I still had a good bit of distance I could cover with them.

I am on my 4th season using these lights and to date I have never had any issues. They are as close to the old fashioned C9 lights as you can get. They are much brighter than I thought they would be compared to others I have tried. What I like are the colors they do have that led look where the blues are purple. The plastic non-breakable bulbs are screwed on and have tiny holes in the tip to allow any rain water to drain out which prolongs the life of the set. I had purchased 1 extra box in case I had an issue with one of the sets, thankfully I have never had to use them.

Unlike our 5 year old led lights these light are nice and bright. These light in the large C9 size definitely remind us of the old school style bulbs we had on our house as kids every Christmas. We wanted bright colorful lights and thats exactly what we got. The led design is a great feature with both energy savings and bulb life expectancy. We've only had these for a fews weeks and had no problems whatsoever. There are two spare led bulbs, one is clear white and goes into several different colored bulbs ( the cover screw right off) the other spare is red and obviously goes into red bulb. There are also some spare fuses. You wont be disappointed in these bulbs.
One of the reviewers for the C7 version of these lights said to unscrew the bulbs and swap the red and white bulbs with each other and the green and blue bulbs with each other to get the old school C9/C7 incandescent look. I did that with these and it really did work! They look much closer to the retro lights. Without this modification they seem to be too close to primary colors and feel more like a kid’s birthday party than Christmas. I think these lights would be perfect if GE would just use white LEDs with color bulbs instead of color LEDs and color bulbs. Taking off one star for this reason and because I had to modify them. Also, these lights do flicker less than LED string lights from other stores, which is great.

I bought 3 strings of these from HD 2 years ago. They look great but they keep burning out. Also the replacement bulbs that came with the strings are only blue and red. I'm now out of replacement bulbs and HD doesn't sell replacements. There are holes in the plastic covers. As a result, water gets inside and causes the wires on the bulbs to corrode and the bulbs burn out.
I thought I was buying a quality GE product, but am very disappointed. Don't buy these lights. You'll be wasting your money.

Really like my lights. Very bright, like the old C9 bulbs. Bought enough lights to decorate 7 pine trees in our field. They are on a sunset/sunrise timer. Last thing I see out my window at bedtime and first thing in early morning.
One entire strand not working. Only one year old. Checked fuses with meter they are fine. One by one took each bulb out only to find 4 bulbs with broken wires. Now where do I buy replacement bulbs. Very disappointed in these LED"s.
