I expected to be able to choose a side I wanted for the top versus underside, however one side had a LOT of wood filler in it so it clearly couldn't be the top. That meant that the front was now the area with the dent in it. By the time we got to our project to use this countertop, the return window had passed. We purchased a better one elsewhere.

The board arrived with a label on it that said Soft Maple and although the description on the website just said Maple, I assumed, for the price that it would be Hard Maple. I am disappointed.

This product does not look like the picture. The butcher block was made with small 1” wide strips instead of wider traditional blocks as pictured. It was too busy for my project so had to return, and they were very heavy.

It is in and looks great. Had to order this butcher block, very heavy. Only needed a 6ft 2 in piece so had left over and put some next to my stove…..

Packing was pretty much double wrapped and then padding, so it came unscathed which is impressive for a 10ft piece. Great quality easy to work with, didnt burn through blades cutting it.

Make sure to seal this product within a day or two of removing the plastic, it has a tendency to warp when exposed to any moisture at all. Also, if using more than one of these, make sure to check color variances! We purchased 5 of these for our kitchen and one came that was very darker than the others and had to re-order one that was closer match to the others. Other than that, this is very good quality and constructed well.

Pretty good for price and convenience. The underside has glue spots but it’s not visible so who cares. The maple is finicky if you plan on staining. make sure all cut edges are on the inside

For the amount I spent on this butcher block, I expected a lot better quality. It was supposed to arrive ready for finishing, however, I had to put in several hours of sanding. The butt joints were not flush with one another, and the routed edges were not uniform. I had to route the edges with a larger roundover bit to make the edges uniform. Also, several of the butt joints were not tight, or filled with glue, leaving several voids the required filling prior to finishing. For the price and amount of work I had into this piece, I would have been better off making my own.

I bought this a little over a year ago and now needed a new project to match it and found the price more than doubled since I bought it last.

It was perfect. I had to shorten it by 15 inches which was no problem. I looks great oiled and usable.

Beautiful countertop for our dining area! Very heavy but arrived undamaged. Finished top side with 3 coats gloss and final coat satin water-based polyurethane. Required some scraping of rough areas and light sanding between coats. Very happy with finished product.

The counter top arrived in good condition
