Very easy to use and with bag attached made cleanup even easier.

For scraping popcorn, overall, this tool was effective, and the fact that it attaches to the extension pole is very useful. However, the attachment part for plastic bags gets in the way so you can't get into corners with the scraper. You'd be much better off just putting plastic up in the room and then roll that up when completed and remove the bag attachment piece (though you'd likely need to pry it off as it isn't made to be detachable). Or just use a taping knife (especially if you can find one that can attach to an extension pole).

painted popcorn is a lot more difficult to remove. This product is not strong enough. The neck of it bends every few minutes and we were not really able to use it. The only benefit is that it can be attached to an extension bar.

Bought this hoping it would help, hoping that the other negative reviews were overstating it. NOPE, this doesnt work! The metal is too weak to apply any scraping pressure. It bends even if you try to scrape straight on. Needed to redo areas i used it with a hand scraper up on a ladder.

Works ok. Would probably be better if I were taller. I spent a LOT of time climbing up and down on a stepladder. Tool must be held almost horizontally against the ceiling, and tons of pressure upwards is needed to make it work right. After a short time it made my shoulders very sore. Also could only be used for short strokes (to keep from falling off the ladder), so it took longer to finish.

Worked as described but was still a mess but any scraping of popcorn will be messy

Pretty good at scraping the popcorn ceiling, just make sure you are wetting the ceiling first. Use a thick enough 4-gallon bag to catch the debris. It will not catch everything, but catches most. Please cover the floor first.

Works somewhat, but the bag catch is kind of a wishful thinking feature. It is still going to make a huge mess, regardless. The scraper itself is just ok. Not work $22.

It only did a so-so job on our popcorn ceiling, which wasn't painted. Sprayed a section of the ceiling with warm water using a tank sprayer, waited 5 minutes, attached a 5ft pole to the scraper and started scraping. Or at least attempting to. Finding the right angle wasn't easy and the bag will start getting heavy pretty quick, making the task even more difficult. Found the neck of the blade was also bending downward. Talked to our sheetrock finisher and he stated these things are more of a gimmick than anything else. Just buy a 10" scraper for half the price, which I found to be easier.

A regular scrapper will do. This one I used to remove popcorn was a disaster. The person that designed this scrapper has yet to test it. Not handy at all; the corners damaged the sheetrock. I used a regular scraper, and it worked like a champ. It went into the garbage.

It's terrible, take a long time to have a good grasp of what it is intended for, it is hard to keep it steady and straight and it dgs into the surface if youre not careful, if you try to control it with a swinging bag full of debries, it turns impossible. a waste of money, stick to a taping knife

Doesn’t do a good job, to me the it gouges too easily .. my drywall knife/scraper does a lot better I wouldn’t buy again anc wished I could return this one.

Very weak handle bends easily.

was not impressed with this tool at all. bends real easy between handle and scraper head. The bagging function prevents you from getting all the way to edge of wall, but worked ok if you like to change bag frequently. I just was less than impressed and will purchase a stronger tool next time.

I didn't even finish one room when the handle bent all the way back causing me to rake my knuckles on the ceiling and almost lost my balance off the ladder. I could of been seriously injured

The tool came without any way to attach a bag to catch the debris. A previous one that I purchased included clips. This was useless with a way to attach the bag. Pretty disappointing and was not able to use it despite a couple of creative techniques to attach a bag.

The catch for this scraper is where it's at. The option to put a bag on it is a deal changer. Less clean up. Would buy again
