Excellent tool for making strong wood joints. I built this with it.....

This jig works great, makes drilling pocket holes a breeze. It is very easy to setup for different wood thickness too. I find that it tends to move a bit when only using one clamp... Not a huge deal, but a bit of a nuisance. Using a second clamp solves that issue for me - see the attached photo

Short story long..... My daughter saw a coat rack on a blog and put it on her Christmas wishlist. I thought I could do an alternative build. She didn't give me much time until the big day so I went looking for a Kreg Pocket Hole Jig because it was used in the step by step. I've been aware of Kregs for quite a while but thought it just a gimmicky widget. And though on sale, it didn't hit my tipping point of cost vs perceived value to me. But it was crunch time and I bought the jig kit. I got it home, tried it out on scrap pieces and was instantly amazed. This made strong, tight joints and was a pleasure (indeed, fun) to use. It saved me time and was so simple to reliably set up with the clamps I already had. This is a tool I wished I had purchased years ago, it's that great! If I were to do it again, I would give a strong consideration to the $100 kit which includes clamps and other upgrades. But I will happily use what I have for future projects, which I will probably begin working on sooner because I have this kit to make them easier to accomplish. Seriously, buy this and make your woodworking life easier.

The pocket hole system directions were easy to read and precise, the jig allows for hidden and secure connection points for cabinetry

A priceless tool when building cabinets, although it has limitless uses (I plan to explore them all!). This is the second one that I have used, the other we bought for my father a few years ago, and it may not be robust enough for those that will use them on a regular basis. Some of the adjustments start to slip after a lot of abuse; however it could be because we were so rough with it. Since it is so cheap I decided to buy the same one for myself to build all the build-ins for my living room, office, Master closet, and Laundry room. It should hold up through all of those and maybe a little more, and for $40 saving me hours of making dado's and gluing and covering holes made from screws and nails. And if you are wondering if pocket screw is strong enough, I can assure you they are. You can see the dresser and toy dresser/shelf that I built as well not part of the review, but just keep in mind that while screwing the joints together you need to really clamp it down or they will shift.

I built my shed doors with this and love it. Since then I have repaired chairs and now I'm doing a dresser. This thing will last my whole life I'm sure and already paid for it self

I can’t tell you how many times this portable Kreg unit has saved me. The age old debate of being the workpiece to the tool, or the tool to the workpiece - if I need a last minute Kreg screw, I reach for this every time. Also, so any outdoor work outside the woodshop, this is my go to. It’s quick and easy, references correctly every time, and allows me to throw oddly shaped pieces into it, drill, and be on my way.

Perfect for getting pocket holes drilled neatly in 2x4's that we are using for bunk beds. What make these units helpful is that holes are drilled neatly spaced apart.

This worked out very well for the project I bought it for, and I've used it for a few other projects that were postponed for various reasons. I'd read a fair number of reviews and watched (more than) a few YouTube videos too. The device works just like it was advertised, very well!

The product worked great. The directions were less than useless. I had to figure out how to use by experimenting. They could do a much better job.

This Kreg Pocket Hole Jig is easy to use and comes with several different sizes and types of screws. They even provide a handy chart to help identify the right screw to use. Very happy with this purchase!

I'm definitely more crafty than skilled when it comes to woodworking, but being a new homeowner has required me to learn as I go. Needed a way of keeping the rabbits from getting into my raised beds, and I didn't feel up to taking on mitered joints. This jig really came through for me. Once I stopped trying to understand by reading instructions alone, and just did it, it was easy to pick up. The frames I built aren't works of art (due to me, not the tool), but they are very sturdy.

I've used a kid's manual pencil sharpener for years instead of this. Think smart. Save money

Great pocket hole jig. The adjustable drill bit is nice to get the proper depth. I suggest buying the larger assorted screws because they are cheaper than buying them individuallly.
