I loved this washer until the power control board malfunctioned and started a fire! Thank goodness we were home washing clothes when we smelled the smoke or I would've lost my house! I had no idea this could happen, the washer is only 5 years old. Are there any recalls on this product?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This survey is quite timely since I’ve recently made contact to LG on this product. I am very disappointed by the scummy particles left on my clothing from this machine. My husband took it apart to find an incredible buildup under the drum plate. For a machine that’s only 2 years old used only for 2 retired people, I am quite concerned about the quality of LG products going forward. I have read other people having this same experience and I now see it’s a discontinued product leaving me to believe the quality control of this machine failed.

I purchased this washer in Feb 2019. On 9 Aug 2020 the top of the clutch and Bearing assembly broke off.

Takes way to long to wash and that would be o.k. if clothes come out clean. Agitator try quit spinning in about the 11th month. Just a bed design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 10 year old LG Gas dryer finally quit after years of service. So we went to John's Appliance here in Daytona where we met with Mike Dowling. We explained our situation and he took it from there. On his advise we opted for a new set of the latest Black SS units. Top loader washer and double hinge gas dryer. With the wifi capable units, they tell us when they are done, so no need to hover around the laundry room. The dryer has a cool double hinge door, open from top down to act as hamper shoot to slide in wet clothes. Opens from the side to allow maximum access removing dryer clothes. We couldn't be happier with the performance of these LG products and the sales and service from Mike Dowling and John's Appliance.

Bought 14 months ago, was great! Today 7/4/19, it exploded (well, that’s what it sounded like). The drum broke loose during the spin cycle, jumped 2ft and turned 90degrees, ripping the water hose from the wall and flooding the laundry room. It was great up to this point but now is beyond warranty. NOT HAPPY WITH LG!

It is big enough to handle just about any load and the clothes come out clean. The only thing I don't like are the buttons, they are not physical buttons. Sometimes it doesn't always register when you touch a button.

LG WASHER THAT RUSTS!!! I bought an earlier model of this LG washer. A few years later, it started to rust and peel around the bleach dispenser -- and I don't even use bleach! I brought this problem to the attention of LG, but they would not stand behind the product, saying "it's just cosmetic." A washer must use water to wash clothes, but who would have expected that it would rust?! Go figure. I will not buy another LG product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Except for the fact the deliveryman demonstrated how the washer works and did not remove the Instruction Booklet from the washer and it was soaken wet. I called the store and LG and am still waiting for an original packet. I was told to download it from LG's website and I do not have a large enough printer. I do not understand why LG or Best Buy cannot provide a new one. I have attached photos.

Large capacity drum w/o agitator - love it! WiFi to my phone to monitor wash, know when complete. Very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only regret I have is that I didn't buy this sooner! Exactly what I was looking for, top loader with no agitator. Works like a dream, quiet and efficient. Great little tune at the end of cycle, much nicer than my old buzzer! Highly Recommend!

Overall I like the large, top load washer. But depending what you wash, the spin cycle can be too loud. I would not recommend for an indoor laundry room. However, for an outdoor garage washer it will be fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will wash all the clothes in my clothes basket and it does it Quietly, I can wash my clothes at night without disturbing anybody. Many different wash cycles......I use normal and they are done in 37 minutes. Clothes come out less damp than any washing machine that I have used before, ergo less time in the dryer.

A problem occurred last night some how the chimes got turned off I took the manual called the number on the back to turn chimes back on really simple press start then press and hold signal for the count of 10. finally get the chime back . Love the chime because it lets me know machine is through.

Quiet, looks nice and does the job well. I haven't used any of the fancy features and don't really plan to, but I do like that they're available if I wanted them.

Love it! Love the deep tub! Love that I can do any size load without wasting water. Love that I no longer have to fight the door to switch close from washer to dryer!!! Only thing I haven't figured out is how to start the machine thru the app when I'm away. I set it up, turn it "on" but when I go to app to start wash at time I need it to start it says "machine not on".

This washer is super awesome! Its has so much on it from pre wash to bedding wash with a little flute tune when the load is done.has a Huge inside that can clean things that you would has to get a pro to do.love it, and glad I made the right choice.

I was so excited to switch to this large capacity top loader from a small front loader. I went with LG because of the mostly good reviews and having owned another LG top-loader that I was very satisfied with. Unfortunately, this is by far the WORST performing washing machine I have ever owned. I purchased in April 2018 from homedepot.com and have been highly dissatisfied with the purchase for the past 3 months. The machine is not only super rough (tears clothes, dish towels on normal cycle), the worst part is that it DOESN'T CLEAN CLOTHES! After following all of LG's instructions, using stain pre-treatment, oxi-clean additives, and changing detergents, it doesn't even touch most of the stains/spoiling on clothes. I am a mom of 3 young kids (1,3,5 yrs old) and have spent hours on the phone with LG's sub-par customer service and have made time to have two different technicians come check out the machine (despite it being a major conflict of interest to have LG repair techs come and "check" the machine and see my concerns). LG customer service won't share any of the reports with me and after 6 phone calls about the issues, I have now filed a consumer complaint with my State's Attorney General. I will no longer waster my time dealing with LG or continue to re-wash most of my kids' clothes. I will never purchase another product from LG or another appliance from homedepot.com (be aware NO RETURNS on major appliances).

Same issues happened so I went back into the store & looked @ many clothes washer but kept coming back to the LG Inverter Direct Drive WT7200CW & I couldn’t of made a better choice. I had put my 1st load in & was AMAZED how quiet it was & my 2nd load has convinced me that I have purchased my forever clothes washer. Thank you LG for making my life’s clothes washing a way better experience !!

Other than that clothes are super clean. And I have a newborn that spits up so vomit smell on clothing sucks. This washer workes like a dream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this machine less than a month. I am hoping I have it in the long term. My likes. If I need to wash a large quilt or pillows I can. I really like the chimes at the end of the wash cycle. Before I had machines with a loud buzzer so I would turn it off. Dispensers for fabric softener etc...are easy to get to. Like that It sets the water level in relation to the amount of the load. It is a quiet running machine. It was one of the review features that made me decide to buy it. My laundry room is on the main floor of my house so I need this feature. Dislikes once you start a load it locks the lid so no adding that forgotten sock after it starts. Wish there was a pause feature. You must completly stop the wash and start the cycle over. I am searching but have not found a setting to rinse only. You can select a full cycle and select special setting to rinse twice. I am 5'5" and have a hard time reaching to the very bottom of the drum ( see pic). I had to get a step stool to get a sock at the bottom once. I have used the app on my phone to do the delay start and other selection features just to see how they work. Frankly I really have no use for doing any washing while away from home but someone might. You still have to be there to load and unload. I would recommend this washer if you want large loads, even occasionally like me. I rarely use more than basic wash settings but you have several setting options with this machine. It is quiet running - a great feature. The networking feature is easy to set up if you wish to use it. I am happy so far and adapted to my few dislikes of the macine.

I have an LG washer similar to this model. I hope they have improved the construction of the washer. After about 2 years, it started rusting around the bleach dispenser cup. I rarely use that feature. So, I started mopping up the left over water in the bleach cup thinking that would help. Then it started rusting around the detergent/ fabric softner dispenser. I contacted LG. I was told that is from outside factors. What? My washer is not in the basement, garage, or other area with humidity. I have been doing laundry for 50 years and have never seen this type of rust in this area. Buyer Beware! I can't see that the lid area has been modified to correct this issue in the new model.

This washer is absolutely gorgeous! I've only used it twice, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I love that it senses the load and let's me know how long it will take to finish. The music it plays is a nice sound compared to the hideous buzzing of the old units. I can't wait to receive thematching dryer!
