We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with this raceway. Because this product is raceway (meant for live voltage hard wiring), it is meant to be screwed into the wall for safety reasons. If you are just covering a cord, then you can use a product with adhesive such as Cordmate, linked below. Very good product with many uses.
Wiremold is an excellent way to hide any cables that must be surfaced mounted for various reasons, I have used this product to hide cables from outlets to wall mounted flat screen televisions.

Perfect, but be aware this is only deep enough for light-weight cables, preferably flat. The color and texture is the best I could expect for using on Decorator-white-painted wall. After the experience of trying to cleanly remove adhesive-attached raceway from painted sheetrock,I decided that, if I needed to, removing a few small screws and plugging the holes would be preferable.

Worked fine for wiring lights in my closet. Easy to install, but the cover is tough to get off once you snap it on. (A good feature, but make sure you cut to the proper length.
The entire wiremold set of products is very poor regarding dimensions for installation (almost non existent) as far as cutting lenghts that fit properly into the boxes, corners, etc.

The raceway was sufficiently rigid to contain both HDMI and...
The raceway was sufficiently rigid to contain both HDMI and power cables for the TVs. The wires must lay flat next to each other, not crossing, in order to allow the pieces to close properly.
This does not have an adhesive backing, so I had to get 1/2" double-sided tape to mount it.
