This 1 3/16 inch wide set your own combination lock is perfect for keeping children out of places they shouldn’t be. It’s a light duty lock, 3 on a ten scale, intended to keep honest people honest and young children out of trouble. The best part is your ability to set the three digit combination to your own meaningful number that’s easy to remember. And then you can change the number anytime if it get compromised. I put one on my outside electric box to make it harder for thieves to turn the power off and circumvent my security system. The size is perfect for the smaller holes in many applications. I use many of these Master Lock locks all set to the same code so I don’t have to remember a bunch of different numbers. Wish I had them back when I used a school locker. Now they are perfect for the gym locker. Try this Master Lock out and see what you think.

Setting the combo took literally 10 seconds and it was ready to go. It didn’t work on my gym’s lockers, but that would be based on what style of lockers they use, I’m sure. I really love the size and ease of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this master lock and was very satisfied. It is exactly the size I was looking for. Made from good strong quality material. This lock is very easy to change and set your combination. I feel very confident my items are sage and secure.

Had to have it cut off at the gym because it would not open or close. 0/10 would not recommend waste of money.

Bought two for my gates and one failed to unlock next day and had to be cut off. Bought a replacement and both lasted quite awhile until a recent rain. I had to cut both of them off.

After setting my personal number, I noticed the wheels were difficult to turn. I had thought of returning the lock then, but my wife needed it for her gym locker. Once she secured the lock, she and several members of the gym staff attempted to unlock it with no avail. The lock had to be cut off the locker. I bought the lock as I trusted the MasterLock name. Perhaps I should rethink that.

Needed a light weight lock for lawnmower shed at church mainly to keep the kids out of it. Also it is accessed by many different people so I could set a combination number that was easy for folks to remember. Setting own combination number was easy and if necessary if can be changed in the future. So far it is working as intended

Feels cheap and light and unfortunately it is. Broke after a few uses at the gym. Had to have it cut open. Buy the next size up

I have no idea how this lock performs as I didn't get any further than removing it from the package and making initial contact with it before I decided it would need to be returned. It is not a smooth metal which wasn't clear from its appearance in the package. It's a weird gritty and rough texture...not too far off from the feel of a terra cotta pot. If you're at all a person with texture issues, I'd choose something else.

In normal use, the combination easily gets changed. If you’re not careful, you will be unable to open the lock

Very poorly made. Stopped working in the first week of school and had to be cut off of my sons locker.

Very delicate and eventually locked by accident and couldn’t open so I returned it.

Lock works well but was difficult to insert on some gym locker latches. Digits are too small for my 76 yr old eyes.

Good product, just wish you could see the numbers a little better.
