Customer Reviews for Orbit 3/4 in. Plastic FPT Automatic Anti-Siphon Zone Valve

So far so good on these bad boys. I usually use rainbird valves, but these Orbits have proven to be trouble free so far.

The construction and operation of the valve itself would be 5/5 stars. However, the enclosed 1" to 3/4" male threaded reducer fitting is impossible to water seal. I have taken this thing apart three times and added increasing amounts of PTFE tape to the point of absurdity. I wish I had just driven to a different store that had the 3/4" female threaded inlet version in stock. Waste of time and money to use the Orbit manufactured thread reducer.

This little one inch water valve is excellent, works great with the automatic function and the solenoid is long-lasting. Or a convenient manual bleed that is easy to use. Why spend more this valve is all you need.

I replaced all of our actuators and purge valves with these. I really like the ability to adjust the flow to each leg of the system.

These valves work well for the price. I have a number of them and have had good success. If they do go wrong, there is a 6-year warranty and they are quick to honor it.

new model requires different fitting, but it will be easier to replace if valve goes bad.( no need to redo pvc )

they are consisten! bad! I just replace two orbit heads and the one was leaking before replacement now had a brand new valve that leaks in same exact place??? what are the chances of tha?

Solenoid is noisy when is on

Does not work as a matching replacement for Rain Bird. The spacing of the pipes is too narrow.

This is perfect and easy to use

2 out of 3 purchased were not assembled correctly at the factory, and created leaks immediately after installation. Both had the solenoid (black elongated round knob) screwed on crooked, so that prevented a good seal at the base of solenoid to the valve body. Preinstall, when I noticed the crookedness, I didn't realize it could cause problem, after all it's so noticeable and 2 of the 3 were like that. Well, it'll leak for sure. Fortunately, I found an Orbit troubleshooting video and it was an easy fix, so no cutting and reattaching to the PVC pipes was necessary. Here is the video link: https://youtu.be/tEGYRF9ubYQ

No, this valve leaks out the overflow, terrible valve!

The Orbit valve works well and performs as expected but they seem to have a problem with longevity. They are lasting 2-3 years and then the diaphram wears out. This leads to slow leaks.

The black plastic adapter between the solenoid and the main green unit keeps breaking. I replaced it in August and had to replace it again in December. I can't seem to find that individual piece anywhere, so I have to keep spending $20 for this whole kit when all I need is a $0.59 part.
