I replaced a broken valve with the orbit jar valve. Easy to install and works great. With this valve being so close to my other valves, I had to take the solenoid off to screw it in, then put back on once the valve was in place. Works great! No complaints.

Orbit clearly does not test their devices
I don't trust manufacturers that don't test their stuff.
If you design two pieces that are supposed to fit each other, what's wrong with trying to fit one into another before selling it?
If they did that they would find that the 3/4" to 1" converter is too big to fit into the valve.
You get two threads in easily, then it starts feeling pressure; then it takes lube, big wrench, a lot of swearing and time wasted just to thread it by a half.

Works great but does not allow bladder to be replaced when it becomes worn as previous models have. Solenoids can be replaced. To replace Orbit valves when pvc pipe is 6" underground and there is no flexibility to pipe the only option is to cut the pipe, add 4 elbows and raise the valve to fit inline. It would be great for Orbit could come up with an easier fix to replace the valve as no other manufacturer has an answer for this. I would love to talk about options for this as I have had to replace and repair all five zones of my sprinkler system. I use Orbit Pop up sprinkler heads and gear driven heads for my entire lawn, Love them.

This product is very poorly designed. The solenoid has a very cheaply made spring that will not stay in place rendering the valve useless. To prove my point remove the solenoid and tap the plunger rapidly up to 10 times. This will simulate vibration from water pressure being turned on and off. The spring on the plunger will either jump out or slide down into the cylinder cavity. Thus, the valve will not activate because the spring will not apply pressure to the plunger.
I replaced three of the valves in the first week of use. The solenoids costs $8 and the valve assembly cost $13. You might as well spend a little more on a different brand and save yourself time and effort and possibly a high water bill.
