LOVE this router! I appreciate the ability to use 3/8 or 1/4" shank bits. Ease of changing bits and their depth is fantastic. The LED light makes visualization of the working edge/surface outstanding. The ability to control rpms minimizes chipping & burning of the routed edge. I'm actually quite happy that my old router died. This Rigid is far superior!

Works really well. Easy to use. Problem was trying to register it on web site. Some of required blocks wouldn’t check. Great way for Ridgid not to give lifetime warranty.

Excellent tool, I used it for the edging of an outdoor love seat and it worked very well easy to adjust and operate.

Bought this to use with my older Craftsman router table. The ability to easily change the bit height from above the table was a welcome addition. A very versatile machine in my opinion. Also includes a collet that allows 1/4" bits to be used along with the 1/2". I have so far used it on some very dense Brazilian Ipe and it was very smooth. The one downside for me was that you must unlock the base to change the height of the bit. This drops the router down and back just a little bit, making precise height adjustment a pain, requiring some trial and error. Overall, well worth the price.

Wow so glad I paid the extra money for this router it is so much better than all previous routers I've had. Very solid and strong, easy to replace the bits, no kick when you start it, it's been a joy to use. The only thing I can find to have a complaint about is dialing in a change of height with the height adjuster doesn't give me a lot of confidence as there is too much play in it. I have an old Porter Cable which is inferior in all respects except this: it has a solid height adjustment mechanism that offsets the entire body with a big ring rather than with a single bolt mechanism on the side. For critical work I use a micrometer to be sure I have the offset I want.

This is an excellent router. It is quite, has variable speeds, and is easily controlled.

Easy to use, very smooth adjustments..all the options a woodworker needs, including variable speed!

Features function well, motor controls keep speed consistent as load increases when bit moves into more wood. No plunge base, but that’s an objective feature to purchase a different SKU for, even if the same motor. No complaints, warranty clear and A significant feature. If the don’t stand behind it, why shouldI put my money down for it?

Seams well built and runs really smooth. I’ve already used it a lot and zero issues.

Unit is very well made In the USA! I have the unit rigged up for CNC use and as soon as the lap top is connected I have very high expectations for its operation.

Handles well. I like the variable speed.

The tool works well. Easy adjustments, powerful and easy to change bits. The price is not Home Depot cheap. It was about $30 more the the Bosch equivalent. I purchased this to replace a 10 year old Bosch and from experience the Bosch also works very well. The Ridgid comes with a lifetime guarantee. Nice if it really works. Time will tell. The tool comes with a screw on dust extraction port. Problem is when attached, it covers the spindle lock and you can't change bits. Duh! The base is also made to accept an optional edge guide. The strange thing is that the Ridgid compact router (which I also own) comes with an edge guard and if someone thought about it they would have made it work on the larger brother. But, NO! The rods that attach the guide to the base have a different screw thread and aren't compatible. Nice way to increase revenue.

I really like this router. it is powerful, and fits into the table perfectly.

The only complaint i would have is it showed the plunge base in the description pics and it didn’t come with it but that’s no big deal it will still serve it’s purpose for what I’ll do
