Great product and easy to use

I love the large base and handles - makes it very easy to use. Depth adjustment is great. Smooth operation and plenty of power. Only one niggle - and I won’t ding it for this - there is a learning curve with the power switch. I’ve had to develop new work habits.

bought this to install in a new bosch router table. choose this model because you don't need a router lift it can be adjusted from the bottom by way of a wrench that comes with the router. installation holes for the router matched up to the predrilled ones but an additional one had to be drilled in the plate for the height adjustment t handled wrench. also had to trim the cabinet as the router handle hit the back of the cabinet. the router has a soft start which means it accelerates slowly not jerking the cabinet and also variable speed control. to adjust the height all I had to do was reach under and unlock the routers clamp and then crank up or down from table top allowing precise adjustments. then reset the router clamp. fantastic feature and price for a hp router.

This is the third Rigid router (1st 2 were the kit with plunge base included) I have bought in 10 years. The speed control board failed in one that I used exclusively in a router table and is no longer available, so I had to replace the entire router. Those routers were rated at 2 1/2 HP, but were more like 2 hp. So far this one is performing well. Don't believe it is really a 2hp motor, but a peak 2 hp motor. There is a difference. Yes, I would recommend this product.

It works well in a router table with its built in height adjustment. I wish it still came with the plunge base also. I have an older combo set and it still works.

I like the light and the quick release for user friendliness. The router is powerful and has the rpm indicated on the variable speed control.

It's good

I returned this router without ever using it because there are no accessories (I needed a plunging base) available for it. Otherwise it looks and feels well built and has good features like LED lights and chuck stopper. Also it’s great that RIDGID included a vacuum extraction attachment.

When assembling this to my router table, the cut depth adjustment can’t be made without removing the vacuum hose attachment because of mechanical interference with the mounting screw of the vacuum hose attachment. Quite frustrating, not a good design... otherwise works great!

Easy to use and set up , put it on a router table

This router is perfect for my needs, I do handyman work and it can take what I give it.

Router is built really well and has great features. Speed control works great in 1000 RPM increments and the turn knob plunge distance make it easy to adjust the plunge distance. I am using in a CNC machine and t so far is working great and makes great cuts with the Spiral Up cut bits.

Quiet and very smooth and easy to handle. I purchase a lot of Ridgid items.

The router variable speed is a plus for specific bits and jobs. Router was purchased to replace a craftman router that would not adjust to the correct height to allow proper depth of bit. Had to redrill mounting holes in craftsman router table (would have been nice if the Ridget came with a template for mounting). Also the height adjustment could adjust easier to adjust from mounting table (small adjustment non). Performance is a 5 star. I would buy again.
