Great station. Easy to assemble and has a very sturdy base. Tool mounts easily.

IT WORKS GREAT ON ROTOR TOOL I HAVE BOTH CORED AND BETTERY.

My wife and I both use and love it. Very handy small projects.

Didn't know that I needed this. But glad I bought it. Works great as a mini drill press.

I do a lot of craft work, using my rotary tool. So my son surprised me with the Hobby Station! I absolutely love it and I am beginning to wonder how I got along for so long without it! It’s like having an extra pair of hands!

This is handy for all the small jobs that I have.

Lots of play had to go back to hand drilling. Now only use it for holding my drumal when I need two hands for buffing

It is not very accurate. I wzs trying to drill some small holes to mount some handles in some thin soft metal. Just the small pilot holes then hand drill the larger diameter. It was difficult to keep the bit from wobbling. I'll keep it for some light duty stuff that does not require accuracy.

So this product works but it doesn't work great. I bought this to help with some small woodworking projects where I would need to use a rotary tool and didn't want to hold it the entire time. The problem starts that if you use a carving bit or really any bit as soon as it meets resistance it begins to drift and your holes aren't straight. The connection to the tool itself is large so that in order to change bits I find I have to take the tool out of the press change the bit and reinstall it. I do like the ability to set the height and use it in a fashion similar to a router. Also because it connects using the threaded collar on the tool you can not have it mounted and attach any accessories that use that connection like a light. All in all I do use the product but not in the way the manufacturer intended because as a press, it kind of stinks...

I bought the Ryobi Hobby Station because it promised to allow me to use my (also Ryobi, and amazing) rotary tool as a mini drill press. The plunge action is akin to a kids’ playset drill press. The best function a ‘real’ drill press has is the rack and pinion movement. With practice, this allows the operator to focus on the work and achieve reliable and repeatable results. The Hobby Station has so, so much slop and wobble making it useless for detail work. Shame, as it is good idea.

Very pleased with the hobby station. Went together easily. Functions well for my purposes. Was concerned about all the plastic components, but I was pleased with the strength of the product. I like the dust collection. Would highly recommend for hobby purposes.

Great looking piece, well put together. Way too much slop in the plug feature. Also, the base flexes quite a bit if you feed a bit too hard or too fast. I'm disappointed as it is nearly the perfect tool, but the flex and excessive slop in the plunge feature may it difficult to use this tool as intended. There is a dowel that is used to align the plunge feature that is undersize allowing the slop to occur. I guess in theory I could take this part, try to add a larger down to the keyway in an attempt to remove some of the slop.

Not worth the cost.... You can buy an actual Drill Press for the price

Is like another set of hands. Super versatile. Great quality and very sturdy.

This work station works extremely well for me as I am handicapped and need as many aids as I can get for my inside DIY projects. The station holds some of my other tools (not Ryobi) also. A good buy at a reasonable price.

The "fence" is an afterthought. The ends in the table are a pair of nuts and difficult to tighten with any precision. The drill press could have a tighter tolerances. The depth of motion gauge is backward for measuring a drilled hole.
