Finally installed, and seems to be working as intended. Such a difference from the old (20 yrs) unit that it is difficult to really make comparisons. Love the easy to adjust digital control ...and the little sound the heater makes when it is running is kinda cool. Still have to wait for the hot water to get to the respective faucet, but that is the nature of every hot water system w/o a re-circulation feature installed ...which this unit can accommodate if one wanted to spend the additional $$$.Not thrilled that it has to be plugged in, but nearly all the newer units are such. The loss of the pilot light and the increased efficiency make it a fair trade-off, I guess. (If we were not on the end of the line, and lose power frequently, it wouldn't even be an issue. But that is exactly why I maintain an emergency generator! Who would've thought ...hot water and enter-net going out together.)

Crap sell everything needed to get it done. Or don’t sell it at all.

Easy to install, performs as specified, it could just deliver the hot water a little sooner maybe with a pressure switch, etc. But is does do what it says, infinite hot water.

This heater requires proprietary venting which is not indicated anywhere until you have the box open. The venting is not readily available and must be special ordered separately.

I never got my money for starting a charge account though

The price and size both fit together to make us purchase this unit. Our house is a 2 bathroom and this unit works superbly.

Loving it.... using so much less propane now! Takes a minute to get hot water to the kitchen but that's nothing new.

I don't know about this product yet. I had to wait a bit for a professional installer to work on my project. So, he arrives and we open the box and discover, from the manual, I need a "3"/5" UL-approved Category III Coaxial Stainless Steel appliance vent pipe or water heater manufacturer-approved concentric vent pipe". When I ordered this Rheem tankless water heater on line the specs reflected a single wall vent. Now I'm wrestling with Home Depot trying to get the required vent pipe. I may or may not supplement this review after the dust settles.

Yes it has. With 2 people taking showers at the same time the water is still really hot! Have not had it long enough to see if the power bill will go down but we still love our purchase.

Rheem does not tell you that it has a design flaw in their tankless water heaters. Lasts only a few short years until lighting strikes or you have a power surge. Totally pointless to have internal fuses on these when a surge will easily destroy this unit. Quoted $700 plus service to fix. This pretty much invalidates any possible energy savings i migtht have had..., i now have to replace or pay $700 because Rheem does not honor any warranty for their faulty design when a “surge” is suspected. I suspect they always blame surges on this to avoid responsibility. Too bad because i loved it for 4 or 5 years it worked. If you own one and are reading this... put a surge protecor on this immediately!!!!!

It's still so new, I am hoping it will save me propane. I like the instant usage and the looks are good. My installer, Paramount Plumbing, did a very good job.

Excellent heater. I had Rheem on demand for 7 years with not one problem. I used it to do infloor heat plus domestic hot water with an addition of heat exchanger.It worked flawlessly.Until a lightning strike took out mother board of unit. Thus purchasing second unit for a replacement

It is not heating the seven gallon a minute. I am only able to take the water up to 120 degrees not the 140 it states without a special controller.

The Rheem heeter is a good heeter. Home Depot and the process I had to go through to get the exchange done was very poor at best.

It’s a great product, it was easy to order and receive.
