Ignition has Failed 10 (Ten) Times. For the Rheem Model # ECOH200DVRHLN Performance Platinum 11 GPM Natural Gas unit; Make sure you have at least a 3/4" natural gas line installed to feed this beast.& ensure the natural gas pressure is between 5.0" W.C and 13.0" W.C (1.25 to 3.24 kPa). Your local natural gas company will check it for you for free, mine did. Press the Power button to clear the Error Code. If Error happens again: 1. Monitor the gas pressure to the water heater while in operation. Ensure pressure is between 5.0" W.C and 13.0" W.C (1.25 to 3.24 kPa). 2. Check gas valve wire. Ensure connection is secure. 3. Check flame detection sensor. Ensure connections are secure. Normal operating settings are more than 2.5DC before ignition, less than 2.5DC after ignition. 4. Check igniter transformer for proper connection. 5. Clean the spark igniter with steel wool to remove oxides. Ensure proper separation (3-4 mm). 6. Replace the spark igniter if damaged. 7. Assure that the flame is stable when lit. 8. If the problem persists, replace the main control.
Yes it comes with the wall mount.
Not if it gets below freezing in it, I live in San Antonio, Texas so I mounted mine out in the patio.
No, the recirculating pump turns on in a schedule, as well as when you first install it, it learns your water routine and works with that. you can also install a kit that has either a button or wifi controls to turn on the recirc pump on demand.
You should not have a loud humming noise you might have to adjust the hex screw on the unit that regulates the incoming gas pressure to your incoming gas pressure. You need to make sure you have 3/4 inch line to the unit ( no flexible 1/2 inch line) and ensure your air input and air exhaust is separated appropriately and without restrictions.
While I am not a plumber, I am reasonably confident that your idea will omit the potential problems. I have not installed my crossover valve yet for the same reason. You should consider calling Rheems level two support team to confirm.
You must supply a small section of 3 inch schedule 40 (red label) pipe then you can reduce to 2 inch schedule 40 ( red label) if you use 2 inch the number of connections and length of pipe is reduced so follow instruction guidelines.
Don't do it. Tankless water heaters are notorious for breaking down, leaking, and finally failing completely. I have known many people who have bought Rheem and other brands and experienced these problems. In the end, replacement and repair costs far exceed any energy savings. The technology for these things is still in its infancy, just like heat pumps in the 1970's.
Good question. My regular tanks are in the attic now and was thinking it would be safer not to have 2 tanks full of water in the attic and therefore much safer to have a tankless.
It doesn't store water like a conventional hot water heater. And yes, it is only an indoor unit.
