The stack kit worked great and functions well. The issue I had was it was sold with a new dryer and i requested and paid for the installers to stack my units (washer was 1 year old). They were not permitted to do that. So I had to stack the units myself and then rerun the vent. There was not information when I bought the kit that the delivery team would only stack a new washer and dryer unit only. So frustrating.

So far so good, it is working great. It also has a sleek modern look to it.

My dryer for some reason drips water on the front at the bottom of the door after drying a load of laundry. And I’ve also noticed that there appears to be lint on the front surface after drying a load. The dryer vent is secure, so I’m not sure how this happening.

Our generation 1 Whirlpool Duet front loading set finally died after 15 years. We were very happy with them and intended to get another set of Whirlpool when my parents suggested looking at Maytag as they have only on their second replacement set since 1976! Maytag has by far the best warranty offered today and a reputation for commercial quality components. My parents and their advertising prove this. Additional reading found that Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, another piece of mind. These Maytags may not have all the bells and whistles that I don't care about in the 'top rated' front load washers but what they do provide is incredible necessary features and tremendous cleaning. After the first load of whites and colors, it was easy to see that Maytag had a big step up on our old Whirlpool washers. It is hard to describe but our laundry feels, smells, and looks cleaner than ever before while using the same detergents/softeners. The extra capacity of the 4.7 cu ft tub has allowed us to do less loads of laundry per week while the dryer does an excellent job of drying those huge loads.. The lint trap on the dryer seems a big step up from the Whirlpool dryer. The package as a whole is very quiet. There seems to be some extra smart timing with the spinning to ensure it gets balanced and the super spin setting is still very quiet. We love and highly recommend this set.

I like the washer and its efficient washing.. The lower stars are because of the very long wash times. I do plan on this washer and dryer set lasting for many years.

Way over priced for a couple of metal straps and plastic feet, If I had to do it again I'd buy a rubber pad to put between them a couple of metal pieces and some sheet metal screws for less than 1/4 the price.
