Questions & Answers
Can this be secured to a 4 x 4 wooden post
Yes, the railing section comes with the brackets and fasteners to fasten to wood or aluminum posts which ever you prefer.
Can I get this gate in black?
Hi Rick. Yes, please search for model# EZGRHB. They will be back in stock within two weeks of 6/24/22. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Does the gate come with a complete latching system, so the gate will stay closed? Also in the pictures there are two different latch mechanisms shown. Which type comes with the gate?
Hi Jessica. This gate ships with hook latch and bar that is shown in the white gate photo. The vertical latches shown in other bronze gate photos are code compliant pool latches that are available via special order simply by emailing support@ezhandrail.com. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Does it have self closing hinges? And would they be adjustable?
Hi PapaFletch. This gate includes non-compressed standard swing hinges; however, we do offer self closing, x-y axis adjustable hinges required to meet pools codes in black and white colors. Please email support@ezhandrail.com to coordinate a purchase. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Can the gate be adjusted in width by 4 inches?
Hi Jim. It can be shortened in width, but it requires a complete disassembly to cut the extrusions. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Is the hardware for the gates (hinges, latch, etc.) included with the gates or does it have to be purchased separately?
Hi. Yes, the gravity latch with bar and pair of face mounting hinges are included with the gate. The gate is also compatible with the majority of aftermarket self closing hinges and pool safety latches. Thank you for your question. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Do you have a 42"(h) Gate kit to fit a 41"(w) Opening? I have a 36"(w) Kit and it's too small.
Hi Gregg. Yes, we make custom sized gates of all sizes and usually very reasonably priced. Lead times run about three to four weeks. Simply email your gate request to support@ezhandrail.com along with your preferred Home Depot store location and we will get a quote coming your way. Thank you for your consideration. Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
Does it come with the posts as well?
Hi. No, the EZ Posts are sold separately. Simply search for model#'s EZPCW-W and the base cover (trim ring) EZBCW-LP and order quantity two of each. Heavy duty self closing hinges and child safety latches are also available for our gates - perfect for docks. Email us at support@ezhandrail.com for more information on these options. Thank you for your consideration, Dan H. (EZ Handrail Dev. Team)
