It can be applied to wet or dry surfaces, even at freezing temperatures and, unlike other sealants, it resists dirt and dust collection, yellowing and water washout. OSI QUAD bonds without a primer to most common substrates like cedar, painted or stained woods, fiberglass, vinyl, coated aluminum, steel, metal, brick, masonry and concrete. With resistance to UV and extreme temperatures (20°F to 120°F) and proven wet surface application, OSI QUAD is the versatile and durable choice for professional contractors. Can this be used over oil based semi transparent stain? Will it adhere to that?
Thank you for your question. OSI QUAD is not specifically recommended for application over oil-based semi-transparent stain without testing. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of oils or other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion. If the stain cannot be removed, we recommend testing the sealant's adhesion on the stained surface before proceeding with the entire project.
If this cannot be used if stucco has polystyrene insulation foam base material underneath it, do you offer a product that will work if the stucco does have polystyrene insulation foam base?

On the back of tube is says to not use on field or butt joints on pre-finished fiber-cement siding - however, the website says this is ok to use on fiber-cement siding. Which is true?

Can this be used directly over Behr Marquee exterior satin enamel on trim without scuff sanding?
