Depends on your type of sink. If yours have a sprayer hose on the side, you can remove it and insert a soap dispenser. It's exactly what I did and it looks amazing.
Thank you. The placement of a soap dispenser would depend on how many holes you have in your sink. You would need 2 holes if you want to install the unit without the deck plate or 4 holes if you are using the deck plate.
Yes
Yes. I mounted it without the base plate on a stainless sink
Yes, but that's determined by the type of sink. If it's stainless steel and there are 3 holes, then no.
Yes. It can be installed without base plate. In user manual explains how to do it.
No, unless your sink is made without the separate cold and hot water holes; this plate is used to cover the holes for the cold and hot water knobs or handles in sinks that accommodate them.
Yes, but plastic threads. And there’s not enough threading to secure a 1-1/4” thick stone countertop tightly.
Thank you. This comes as a sprayer head and does not have a replaceable replacement for the aerator. You can call the Home Depot Call Center at 1-877-527-0313 and they would be glad to order you another sprayer under the faucets warranty.
You thread a plastic sleeve with threads from beneath to secure to the sink
The pull-out sprayer features an aerated spray.
Make sure your valve under the sink is turned fully to the on position and the water lines are not twisted up. These are 3/8 lines so the water output will be reduced a bit over 1/2 inch.
We suggest that your give the Home Depot Customer Care Department a call and they would be happy to assist you with troubleshooting as well as getting out any parts that may be needed under the faucet's Limited Lifetime warranty. They can be reached at 1-877-527-0313.
I would like to do this also, but I really don’t want to pull the sink out again which also means disconnecting the drains. And my drains in my kitchen sink are not easy to reattach without them leaking in several places. So, if you want to readjust the faucet, it’ll be like starting all over and uninstalling it, mark where it is first, and reinstalling it like the first time.
Thank you. You should be able to release it by turning it counter-clockwise. If it was tightened to much on installation, you might need to take a wrench to remove it.
Push in the lock pin at the top. Instructions mention this.
You need to loosen from underneath the sink with one hand counterclockwise until faucet on top is loose . Mine has a grip to hold with your hand ( No special tool needed ) Not sure what you mean by Fastmount but I will assume you mean the plastic plate than comes with faucet placed on top of sink
I just firmly pushed up underneath and turned counter clockwise several rounds until it slides down.
I agree. Good question. I would also like to know the diameter of the shank.
The Fastmount is garbage! Mine stripped out in about 2 weeks. When I call the warranty dept. I get a fast busy signal. I'm headed to the hardware store to buy a metal nut and washer to replace this plastic piece of s@#!.
If anyone has this problem call the manufacturer and they will ship you an alternate part. The Fastmount willl not work with all sink types.
Thank you. You can contact the Warranty Department that handles this faucet and they would be glad to send you out the old style nut and washers to attach your faucet. They can be reached at 1-877-580-5682.
I had one of these installed by a plumber. I had to have him return 2 times to tighten it to the counter. The third time it came loose, I read this post. I called the telephone number provided in another answer. The agent who answered the phone understood the issue exactly. She took my name, address, etc. I received the brass hardware in days. You will need to shut off the water to remove the plastice 'Fastmount' piece and install the new hardware. It took us only about an hour. The faucet is secure without any wiggle. Glacier bay needs to stop the Fastmount.
Home depot doesn't sell the nut individually. I am returning the faucet for another model with a nut included.
I too found that it did not seem to tighten until I tried NOT pushing up while tightening/turning the fast mount. Without pushing up I could tighten to my delight!
You’re right on that piece. I was lucky enough to be able to pull the metal one off my old faucet and it fit. I’m not sure of the exact size, but I think it may be a universal size on these faucet types. The guys in the kitchen department at the Depot should be able to point you in the right direction.
It needs to be installed in the correct direction - see instructions. Push it all the way up underneath, and then hand-screw it tight. If you put in on backwards it will just spin.
My "fastmount" piece became stripped after about a year and a half. I called the Glacier bay help # number and they sent me a new one with no charge. Not ideal but at least I didn't have to buy a whole new faucet.
Yes it can, but it does not tighten up since the mount underneath is made of plastic.
In the instructions, push in lock pin and turn.
Very easy don't require too much tools or expertise
No! It is built into the faucet
Thank you. It can be removed. Simply turn it to the left and it should loosen for you.
I pulled it out and measured it. The travel once installed (not the length of the hose) is 30 inches.
The total length of that braided hose is about 42" but there is a weight clamped to the hose to assist it's return into the housing. This weight is secured in the specific area marked on the hose at about the 24" point from the handle. With about 10" of the braided hose in the housing the handle has about 12" to 13" that the handle can be extracted from the housing before that weight stops any more hose from being extracted. The hose is clearly marked with the area that the weight should be attached even though there is additional hose available. Using any more will inhibit the return of the hose into it's 'home' position and possibly put undue strain on it's connection to the water supply from the valve handle.
