Old fan is switch controlled. I’m assuming since this unit requires constant power and utilizes a wireless switch, that I should bypass the old switch by connecting the wires and then utilize the new wireless switch in its place?

The mechanical part of the fan works fine . The speaker works very well. The light leave something to be desired for. If you have a color light, it’s too dark. But design has a major flaw. If it’s on a very high ceiling, it would be fine. Most bathroom ceilings aren’t that tall and you could look right through into the ceiling through the top of the fan. Would definitely not buy again.

Terrible connection, airflow, and sound

Stupidest fan ever. Doesn’t wire to existing switch. Must use a battery powered switch (2-AAA) and also cut a hole in drywall for it. What the heck?? On top of that ventilation is very weak, the light does not change colors and the speaker is too quiet. Will be returning. God help me find a decent fan that works w my switch. Good luck y’all.

Good fan. Read the power up instructions

Bought this over a year ago and finally got it installed. It looks awesome and so far works well and was relatively easy once I figured it out. I didn’t realize when I bought it, the switch is battery powered. While I understand the need for it, I already had power in place therefore that was an inconvenience rewiriing. Would be nice to have the option to purchase a wired switch. Also really panicked when we had power to everything and it still wouldn’t turn on. So make sure you read the part that says press and hold the light button for 5 seconds to connect it.

Fan died after 18 months

This fan lasted 18 months before the fan died, I do not recommend wasting money on this fan

Wall switch no longer controls light/fan.

Wall switch no longer works. None of buttons turn on/off light or fan. Can I hardwire this thing? Replaced batteries. It’s only been used half a dozen times in less than a year.

Thank you for your feedback on the SPKN110RGBL. Unfortunately, this cannot be hardwired. If you changed the batteries or if you lost power at any point, you would need to re-pair the control to your unit. You will have to turn off power to the unit from the breaker and then restart it. Once power is restored, you have 3 minutes to pair the wall control to the fan unit. Garbage at any price point.

Bought this disregarding the bad reviews. Don’t do that. ***Do not purchase this product***. My short time trying this brand led to a defective electrical component causing the entire device to be useless. I returned the item and exchanged it for another one both brand new from the shelf. Neither worked. Wasted my time, money and caused me multiple trips to inevitably replace it with another brand altogether. Save yourself the headache and do not purchase this product. My local Home Depot doesn’t even display them on the shelves they are hidden behind a different product 3 levels up. They should just discontinue this product.

Terrible new technology replacing good old technology

It's not made clear on this item that your wall switch will be Bluetoothing to the unit as a control. It does not use the existing wires you probably have established for your old unit to turn it on and off. Instead the Bluetooth wall control runs off some AA's. And the wall switch they provide for you is a single gang size only. So after you have done the whole install and you go to wire the on off switch you will now have to cap off your wires and then re install a single gang size box and bust out your dry wall skills to patch a hole in your wall where the double gang used to fit. If I had known this before I did the install I would have got something else. The very least they could have done was offer a double gang option for the unit as most old fans have two switches double gang style. I can't find any double gang option so now the project continues with dry walling.

It’s a nice addition to my bathroom! The color changing feature setting is nice to play with. Connecting Bluetooth to play music is easy and the speaker is pretty loud. It does a great job pulling steam/moisture out of the bathroom which is my main reason for buying this item!

Dont Buy!

Absolutely junk! This thing has a AA battery powered switch for no reason at all. And of course the box doesn't mention that! I didn't notice that until I've already cut my sheet rock to fit this massive thing. Now I have cut up sheet rock and a pile of parts to try and return and praying the next exhaust fan isn't some how smaller so I have to patch more!

Dont Buy!

This product is absolutely stupid! The thing has a AA battery powered switch! Why? And of course the box didn't mention that. So after I cut my sheet rock to fit the new frame I discovered that. So now I have a torn up box and parts everywhere to try and take back to the store. On top of the fact what if this hole is too big now? Looks like I have to fix a bunch of sheet rock!
