The air inside your home can be 5x more polluted than the air outside. That’s because homes are being built tighter, making it harder for your home to inhale and exhale.
Fresh air ventilation brings in air from the outside to dilute stagnant indoor air and remove airborne contaminants, while using minimal energy.
Over time, outdoor air replaces indoor air. This is referred to as the air exchange rate. According to the ASHRAE, the average home should have 0.35 air changes per hour, and no less than 15 cubic feet of air per minute per person.
Improve your home's ventilation with whole-house mechanical ventilation systems, kitchen and bathroom fans, and natural ventilation (opening windos and doors).

A single cubic foot of air can be packed with over 30 million pollutants. This includes dust, mold spores, allergens, and more. Proper filtration of the air in the home is key to removing harmful particulates.
MERV 16 air filters provide the highest rate of effectiveness, capturing 98% of airborne viruses. Pair that with an ultraviolet light and you’ve got the power to fight back against mold, bacteria, mildew, and viruses.

Maintaining balanced humidity is key to overall wellness, minimizing virus survival rates, curbing mold and mildew growth, and preserving items in your home like wood furnishings.
Ideal relative humidity falls between 40% to 60%. If the air is too dry, you can expect colder temperatures, skin and eye irritation, increased static electricity, reduced resistance to respiratory illnesses, and nosebleeds. If the air is too moist, you can expect higher temperatures, breathing difficulty, and increased growth of bacteria and viruses.
We can install humidity control systems to keep your air comfortable, healthy, and safe.

Radon is a naturally occuring gas, and is the #1 cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers. While it isn't a threat outdoors, it is easily trapped indoors by passing through cracks or holes in your foundation. Currently, radon is a significant concern in most areas in the United States. Because it’s odorless and colorless, the only way to know if you’re being exposed is to test.
Radon test kits and radon mitigation fans are available to help detect and bring down high levels of radon.
Outdoor air enters the home by three primary means: natural ventilation, mechanical means, and infiltration.
Natural ventilation refers to the air exchanged by opening doors and windows. Mechanical means refers to outdoor air intakes associated with HVAC systems, and outdoor-vented fans like you would find in a bathroom or kitchen. Infiltration is process of air flowing in through cracks in the walls or foundation, joints, floors and ceilings, and other similar openings.
HEPA refers to a pleated mechanical air filter used to remove particulates from the air. HEPA is short for high effeciency particulate air filter.
The level of filtration offered by HEPA filters are measured by a MERV rating. MERV is short for minimum efficiency reporting values, which describes the size of particles a filter can capture.
The higher the MERV rating, the better a given filter is able to capture specific particles.
