Yes. Most vinyl flooring is water resistant, which makes it a great choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Stain-resistant flooring options are available as well.
Some vinyl flooring can be installed directly on top of your subfloor without added materials. However, installing underlayment provides better results for many applications. Underlayment helps reduce noise and provides a flat surface, which can correct imperfections in your subfloor that will transfer or “telegraph” to the finished flooring. If underlayment is required for your installation, our professional installers will help you choose the right product for the job. Our installers may recommend lauan plywood (a type of hardwood) if your current subfloors do not support vinyl.
Vinyl flooring installation typically takes between 1-2 days to complete. Some types of vinyl flooring, such as plank and tile, need a few days to acclimate to the temperature and humidity in your home prior to the installation. This process prevents expanding and contracting after the flooring is installed. As part of your project, we’ll order your products and coordinate the delivery a few days ahead of time to allow for this acclimation period.
Vinyl needs time to settle. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before walking on your new floors.
Vinyl is one of the easiest flooring options to maintain. You can vacuum dirt and debris and mop up spills and hard-to-remove dirt as needed.

There’s so much to love about vinyl flooring. It’s an excellent way to enhance your home's beauty while adding value. Its versatility allows you to choose from a wide variety of striking designs, colors and patterns. Vinyl can mimic hardwoods or look like ceramic tile. Plus, installing vinyl flooring is a great choice for high-traffic areas since it’s resilient and comfortable.
Vinyl flooring comes in three formats. Vinyl tiles are ideal for smaller rooms and attach in any pattern you desire. Vinyl sheets are ideal for larger rooms and cut to the dimensions of your floor for a mostly seamless look. Vinyl planks are also more suited for larger rooms and can look like a single board or recreate the look of multiple smaller boards.
Our experienced, licensed vinyl floor installers will explain your options, develop floor plans and help you decide on the best vinyl installation for your décor and lifestyle. They can even help you move furniture and household items with the following exceptions: pianos and organs, waterbeds, pool tables, safes, grandfather clocks, delicate antiques and heirlooms, aquariums, pet trees and houses, large exercise equipment and weights, and video game electronics and machines. Plus, vinyl can be installed over most existing floors, requiring very little prep work. So you’ll be enjoying your new flooring faster than you think!
Planks are staggered, precisely cut and laid according to your desired pattern to enhance the beauty of your floor, giving you a more “wood-like” appearance.
Generally purchased in 12” or 18” squares, vinyl tiles are manufactured to exact dimensions to ensure a uniform appearance. Vinyl tiles are also versatile and can be installed in various patterns and designs. Underlayment or floor preparation may be required to ensure a flat installation surface.
Starting with a clean, dry and level floor (some surfaces may require an underlayment), we cut the vinyl to match your floor’s template and press the sheet into flooring epoxy.
It’s common for linoleum and vinyl to be used interchangeably when comparing flooring types. However, there are differences between linoleum and vinyl that highlight some of vinyl’s key benefits. While both materials are durable, vinyl floors are easier to maintain and clean without potentially compromising the quality of the surface. Both materials offer a wide range of colors and styles at affordable prices, and in most cases, the installation process is quick and easy for an experienced flooring installer to complete.
