In addition to new cabinet doors and drawers, our cabinet refacing service includes updated cabinet hardware to help you create a fresh look. Knobs and handles are popular cabinet pulls and can be installed horizontally or vertically. You can also choose side-mount pulls for a modern edge look or center-mount pulls for a classic style.
Other cabinet hardware options include hinges and drawer slides. Ball-bearing hinges are the most common, while soft-close hinges prevent doors from slamming. Drawer slides help cabinet drawers slide in and out easily without wear.

During a free virtual consultation, a sales consultant from The Home Depot will meet with you remotely via online video conference. They’ll show you product samples, help you envision different options in your home using a 3D digital design tool and give you a quote. You’ll have the chance to take and submit your own measurements, or we can arrange for professional measurement of your space.
A virtual consultation typically lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours. To prepare, you’ll receive a welcome email with instructions for taking and submitting measurements and downloading or accessing the video conference platform that will be used at the time of your appointment.
A free in-home consultation for Cabinet Makeover typically takes about 1-2 hours, and includes:

Home Depot’s cabinet makeover (cabinet refacing) service includes new doors and drawers, hardware, hinges, and veneer to complement the new style and color of your doors and drawers, all custom-measured and built for your kitchen.

Wood Cabinet Doors
Maintenance: To protect and keep in good condition, wood cabinets should be routinely wiped down with a clean soft cloth. To remove dirt, spills and splatters, a natural wood cleaner or simple solution of 2 parts water and 1 part mild dish soap can be used. For tougher dirt or stains, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Leave on for a moment and wipe away.
Appearance: With natural wood cabinets, you get a beautiful classic look. With staining, they bring a custom look to every home.
Cost: Pricier option compared to engineered cabinetry.
Warranty: Up to 2-year product warranty and 1-year labor warranty.
Eco Friendliness: Wood cabinetry is made of hardwood lumber. Multiple trees are required to produce a single kitchen.
Engineered Cabinet Doors
Maintenance: For a thorough cleaning, use warm water with soft sponge. For spot cleaning, use a surface cleaner like 409 or Windex. Spray the cleaner on a towel and apply to surface (do not spray cleaning products directly on cabinets).
Appearance: Engineered products outlast painted wood finishes. Popular for solid colors like white or gray and with advanced technology, engineered woodgrain looks and feels like real wood!
Cost: Up to 30% less than natural wood options.
Warranty: Up to 5- to 12-year product warranty and 1-year labor warranty.
Eco Friendliness: Engineered cabinetry requires use of lumber but far less than wood cabinetry. Pieces from trees that would be wasted and not usable for wood cabinets are used. Save a tree without sacrificing quality.

The project was scheduled for 7/28. Received a call telling me it had to be rescheduled without an explanation. I flew my granddaughter from Florida based on the initial date . We emptied the cabinets as instructed and the installation was not started until 8/24. It was a complete inconvenience to my family. I could not use my kitchen and boxes where everywhere. However, Mark did an excellent job with the installation.

The installer was very professional, very smart, easy to work with, always punctual, and did a great job installing our kitchen cabinets, and cleaning up the workspace upon the installation completion. We could not be more pleased with the product or with our installer. He is a wonderful person and did a great job for us and we felt like he was a guest in our home. I highly recommend him.

My dissatisfaction areas are: * The product we were to receive was not what the salesperson explained to us. * The project was promised to be completed by the end of May 2026, but wasn't finished until the latter half of August 2026 (and still not complete). * The vendor did not provide a finishing kit with the materials, thus nail holes and miter cuts are not properly finished. This looks like an incomplete project and not professionally installed. * The initial material sent was incorrect. A drawer was mismeasured. The pantry doors were warped. The light bars had a visible gap between the wood and the cabinets, so these needed to be redone. Incorrect crown molding was sent originally. This reorder/reworking pushed project time back substantially. Therefore, we had a half finished kitchen for a couple months while waiting on new material. In addition, we had to redo our personal scheduled events several times to accommodate when the technician would be in town to do the work. * When we made the purchase, the salesperson stated that the finish would be seamless from one side of the kitchen to the other. Material was in 8-foot sections and our kitchen is much longer, so we have cut marks on the face of the cabinets and the crown molding along the top. * Crew2 attempted to fill nail holes and patch cut marks with a colored caulking. The caulking did not match color or sheen, thus it had to be removed. The technician informed us that the only way to correct this was to have everything patched, sanded, and then painted to make a uniform appearance (of course, at my expense). * The Crew2 Customer Service Representative explained that all this was routine craftmanship and we should be happy with the results. I informed her that this was not the case and felt we deserved appropriate compensation for a half completed project and multiple delays. She offered 11% back in discount, which is well below what it will cost me to have it professionally completed by someone else. I would have expected no less than 25% back. * In addition to the project, the technician's vehicle dripped oil onto a brand new driveway, staining it before the driveway fully cured. This is an additional expense I will incur to have that portion cleaned and resealed.
