The project took five appointments to complete over 10 months from when we ordered. The first four appointments ended with missing or broken parts/components. The communication between corporate and installer was notably broken. We communicated multiple times with corporate and Home Depot attempting to resolve the issues and have the needed parts/components on scene so installer could install. Installer would show up with no parts as if there had been no communication between the two. During the initial installation attempt, one of the window treatments was installed backwards. It was an ongoing frustration with getting corporate and Home Depot to coordinate with the installer to complete the project in a timely and efficient manner. 10 months. Definitely not a value for the premium price we paid. The installer was always courteous, though. Ted and Terri Wilson

Installer arrived late in the afternoon and did not finish until after 8:00 pm. Too late. Then he could not program the remote because it was ?too new?. Blinds do not work well with the app and way over priced. Disappointed once again with Home Depot. I think I have learned my lesson this time.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between aluminum, vinyl, and wood window materials?
Aluminum window frames combine contemporary style with the strength to stand up against extreme temperatures. Vinyl window frames, which typically contain PVC, combine water resistance, easy maintenance, and ultraviolet protection against the sun. Wooden window frames will not stick due to contraction and expansion. However, wood is harder to maintain, with susceptibility to both rot and weathering.
How many windows and doors can I replace?
Our certified Hood County home improvement contractors can replace one, a few, or all of your windows and doors.
How long does it take to complete my window installation project?
The timing of a window replacement project depends on the number of windows you want to install. If you want to update many windows, expect the job to span about 1–2 days.
What is the best way to maintain my new windows?
Wipe the window frame with a soft cloth to remove loose debris. Clean the windowpane with a household glass cleaner, wiping thoroughly to remove streaks. Use a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt from the window screens. You can also remove the screens and wash them in warm, soapy water.
