How It Works
Licensed & Insured
The Home Depot’s plumbing installation professionals and local plumbers are licensed, insured and undergo a thorough background-screening process.
Variety of Services
Our professional installers are rigorously screened to ensure they have the skills and background to complete all of your plumbing fixture needs. We install toilets, garbage disposals, kitchen and bath sinks and faucets.
We offer a wide range of flexible financing options including The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card issued by Citibank, N.A. and The Home Depot Project Loan issued by GreenSky, LLC, plus one competitive project price on any installation.
Do I need any additional pieces or parts for garbage disposal installation?
You should ensure your new garbage disposal includes the pigtail, or power cord, for installation. Check the product description to determine if additional pieces are needed
What if my current garbage disposal is not plugged into an outlet?
Some garbage disposals are hardwired, rather than plugged into an outlet. If local codes allow this connection, your new disposal can be installed the same way. However, codes in many places now require a receptacle or outlet on a dedicated circuit for garbage disposals. If your current system doesn’t meet the code requirements in your area, you’ll need to have an electrician make changes prior to having your garbage disposal replaced.
Why is rough-in size important for toilet installation?
The rough-in measurement indicates the distance from the center of the drain line to the wall. Knowing this measurement is crucial to installing the correct size toilet for the space. Moving drain lines to accommodate a toilet can become an expensive change in addition to the cost of installing the toilet.
How do I measure to ensure the right rough-in?
To be sure you select a toilet that fits your drain rough-in, measure from the wall to the center of the floor bolts on your existing toilet. When you have The Home Depot handle your plumbing project, our licensed plumbers will take this measurement for you prior to the installation.
Does the toilet include a seat?
Most toilets sold today include an installation kit with a seat and wax ring, but check the product details to be sure you’ll have everything you need.
How much does it cost to replace a toilet?
The cost to replace a toilet depends on a number of factors, including your location and which product you’ve chosen. Additional charges may apply for drain repair or to replace valves and supply lines, and specialty and concealed trap toilets can only be quoted after a site visit, due to a different installation process than standard toilets.
Does The Home Depot install sink faucets?
Yes, The Home Depot can install sink faucets in either your kitchen or bathroom. However, in some cases a site visit is needed before providing a quote and installing faucets. Specialty and wall-mounted models require a different installation process than standard faucets, and additional charges may apply for drain repair or to replace supply lines and shutoff valves.
Will the plumber add holes in my countertop to accommodate my new faucet?
Our local plumbers will only be able to install a new faucet using existing holes. If your project requires drilling new holes through your counter, you’ll need to arrange to have that work done before your faucet installation appointment.
Will The Home Depot install a new tub or shower faucet for me?
Replacing bathtub and shower faucets often requires access inside walls, with extensive finish work involved. Therefore, we do not currently offer this installation through our Home Services program.
