MILITARY EXCHANGE PARTNERSHIP FAQS

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) offers tax-free shopping and military-exclusive pricing. 100% of its earnings support the military community.

The Navy Exchange (NEX) provides quality goods and services at a savings, supporting Navy quality-of-life programs. It benefits active duty, retirees, veterans, DoD civilians, National Guard, reservists and family members.

It is recommended to use AAFES if you served in the Army, Air Force, or Space Force and NEX if you served in the Navy or Marine Corps. However, regardless of service branch, both partnership sites are accessible to active and retired military personnel and their dependents. WHO QUALIFIES

Military Exchange privileges are open to qualifying active-duty service members, dependents, retirees, Department of Defense civilians and retirees, and honorably discharged veterans. For full lists of authorized patrons, visit AAFES Authorized Patrons or NEX Authorized Patrons.

Visit shopmyexchange.com/register and create an account. You will need to provide your name, last four digits of your SSN, date of birth, email address, and most recent branch of service. If you are a veteran and have questions about your eligibility, please call 1-844-868-8672 (toll-free in the U.S.) for assistance. All others may call 1-800-527-2345 (toll-free in the U.S.) to reach Customer Service.

SHOPPING, RETURNS & EXCHANGES

While the products are shipped by The Home Depot and/or its vendors, orders through exchanges have additional benefits, such as tax-free shopping and the ability to use the Military Star Card. Returns need to go through The Home Depot; the Exchanges cannot accept returns for items purchased from The Home Depot through Exchanges or otherwise.

You can purchase all items available on homedepot.com, with a few exceptions (mattresses, small electronics, floorcare, appliance venting/installation/free standing/special order).

The Home Depot merchandise purchased through one of the Military Exchange partnership sites will need to follow The Home Depot's standard returns & exchange process found here. Take your item to any The Home Depot store or initiate a return online through homedepot.com within 90 days of purchase. You will need the receipt/order confirmation and the email or phone number associated with the purchase.
